Chapter 7: Earth For a Day

I felt a cold rush of wind through my hair, and opened my eyes. I saw the window wide open, and the cold air being let in. I tried to get up and close it, but something was wrapped around me. Sulfus was in deep sleep with his arm wrapped around my waist. "Dammit, he isn't allowed to be in the dream room. If he gets caught, we will both be in huge trouble," I whispered.

The chill coming from the cold air just kept getting colder and colder, and I kept getting closer and closer to Sulfus and his warm body. I couldn't stand it anymore. The wind was driving me crazy, so I tap him on the shoulder. "What the Hell? It's freezing in here," he said as he woke up.

"Yeah, I figured that out twenty minutes ago when you were taking over my bed," I responded, getting up and shutting the window.

I jumped back in bed, pushing him out, and got under the covers. "Hey what the hell Raf," he said with a smirk.

"Why don't you try your own bed?" I asked smiling with a little giggle.

"But, why? It's so much more comfortable right here," he said as he climbed back in, grabbed my face, and started to kiss me.

I just leaned back, but had hesitation. Did he really want to do this now, and why now? "Wait, we really shouldn't be doing this," I finally spoke.

"If you are scared of the V.E.T.O, there is no reason to be. All it is, is a bunch of shit written of a piece of paper," he responded.

"It's not just that. It's is a lot more than that," I said.

"Well not to me." he said. He was mad. He had no idea how much I wanted that to happen, but not here. Not now. It wasn't right. Urie left a note saying she was with Dolce and Miki, but I still couldn't do it now.

Was this supposedly fate? Had this ever happened before, between an angel and devil? "I just don't know," I said with almost a since of embarrassment. I couldn't give in to my emotion right now. I knew it wasn't the time. I thought he would respect my decision, but I was wrong.

"Well, tell me when you are sure, " he said walking out. I felt my heart almost drop when he walked out. I didn't want him to leave, but I'm and angel and I'm not supposed to break any rule. He may not care, but I do.

The next day I felt better because of my friends. I always knew those angels would stay by my side everywhere I go. Even to the depths of Hell, to the clouds beyond Heaven. "Hey Raf, would you like some food to go with that coffee," Urie said from behind me.

"No thanks. I don't feel like eating," I replied as tired as ever. "Sorry you had to sleep with Dolce and Miki, I didn't mean to fall asleep."

"Don't worry about it. You two deserve some time alone every now and then" she said and I smiled.

"Well today is our day off in the human world, so we can shop till we drop," Dolce walked up to our table. I had totally forgot about our day off. We did a drill like this every so often. The first time we did this was the day I got Andrew taken away, and reassigned an earthly one. That was one of the first times I realized my feelings for Sulfus.

Time passed and an hour after we left the lunch room, I headed to my room to find something cute to wear to the mall. "Oh here we go. Cox, activate Metamorphosis." My blue corset top changed into a black and purple shirt with one sleeve, and a purple mini skirt with black boots with purple laces. I looked in the mirror and smiled then looked back to see Dolce, Miki, and Urie in her doorway. "You ready?" Dolce asks.

"Yeah, let's go."

We got to the mall, and looked around at some of the clothes shops like Forever 21 and Express. Dolce was carrying 3 bags of clothes that were all pink. "You think you have enough stuff yet?" Urie said sarcastically.

"Do you think I need more," Dolce said confused. We all just rolled our eyes and went on.

We were all looking through the food court, and deciding what we wanted for lurch. I of all people went to the Chick-Fil-A, and the other girls followed. We looked around while standing in line, and saw four familiar faces. They looked in our direction, and practically spit in our face from a distance. Well, all except Sulfus which was just staring into Hot Topic at the newest Avenge Seven Fold shirt.

They walked in this direction, and decided to make a scene. "Hey halo heads," Kabale said as she approached.

"If you're here to start trouble-" Dolce started.

"Chill, K?" Kabale interrupted Dolce. All four stepped in front of the angels, and ordered. All of us had a rude expression on our face, and the devils just laughed a bit.

"What are you going to do about it angel bitches?" Gas said.

"Shut up chubby," Miki said. We kind of ignored each other for a while. There were practically no seats to sit so we all split up. I ran out of the food court, and found a seat to eat at on a bench.

A guy sat down beside me, and said hi. He said his name was Ethan, and he had sort of long black hair, and blue jeans with a Black Veil Brides shirt, and converse. "What's up," he said after an awkward silence.

"Just getting away from the crowd, I guess," I said not being able to control my smile. I mean he was really cute; not as cute as Sulfus but cute.

"So what you eating?" he said pushing my hair behind my ear. It was a strange gesture considering we just met, but I wasn't going to be rude about it.

"It's just-" I began to say what I got.

"Hey, Raf," I heard Sulfus say as sane as he could. I looked up to those hazel eyes staring me in the face. I stood up with a goodbye, and took Sulfus's hand leaving Ethan very embarrassed.

"Well, who the hell was that?" Sulfus said jealous.

"He just sat down next to me, and it's not like I was going to say go away, or anything rude," I said defensive. He just stared for about a minute, and he sat down bringing me with him, and kissed me softly on the lips.

"Well you could have said something like, I have a boyfriend, or have you moved on?" he started.

"Is this about last night? I wasn't ready, ok?" I turned my head the other way. He turned my head to face him and lightly kissed me.

"Ok, I'm sorry," he said and I smiled. I turned my head, and saw that Ethan guy staring at us, and I whispered to Sulfus what I saw. He was almost just some creepy stalker. The whole day he was somewhere near us.

We walked into Hot Topic, which I wasn't fond of, but went anyways, and that guy followed us in. "Why the hell are you following us?" Sulfus said sternly. I stood behind Sulfus as he approached them.

"I just want one thing in particular. I have an order from Hannah, and that is to take that Raf girl away from you," he said. Of course.

"Hannah," Sulfus mumbled. I got a tad bit frightened, and Sulfus changed back into a devil, and I did the same except I was an angel. "Basilisk, activate inverse metamorphosis; Cox, activate inverse metamorphosis," we said in unison. We were ready for battle. Not another battle I wanted to have, so I had to make sure Hannah got the message this time.

We led him out of the mall, and ran into a very familiar face which frightened me a little. I was ready though, but I still don't understand one thing. Why me? Why did I have to fall in love with Sulfus?
