Recap: "There goes our vacation!" she exclaimed, angrily.

Percy grunted in agreement, pulling out his ballpoint pen. He uncapped it and a three-foot long celestial bronze blade sprang to full size. A girl with frizzy brown hair appeared out of nowhere. Two boys followed, with a man just behind. Percy glanced at Annabeth. She motioned him to wait. The girl dodged a bolt of light, narrowly missing a mortal. The mortal turned pale, horrified.

"Percy, they can see it!" Annabeth exclaimed, shocked.

Percy nodded, crouching as if preparing to jump. The man who had appeared with the other trio, pointed a carved stick like a wand at a mortal. Everything about him seemed evil. Annabeth's instinct told her to attack.

"Don't move, mud-blood or else, this mortal here goes to hell." he snarled.

Annabeth nodded as Percy took his cue and lunged. He tackled the man to the ground. The man pushed him off and waved his stick. Percy flew into the side of a brick building with a sickening crack. He groaned and crumpled to the concrete. Annabeth gasped, gripped her dagger tighter and attacked. The man threw a crackling green streak of energy at her. She dodged and advanced. Annabeth ducked under his guard and slashed his stick in two. She grabbed his wrist and judo-flipped him. She held her knee to his chest. One hand restraining him, almost saddling him. She pressed her dagger to his throat, drawing a small line of blood. He groaned, a bit.

"Tell me who you are or your throat gets a piercing." Annabeth threatened, a fire burning in her eyes.

He smirked, eyes glinting dangerously. Annabeth raised her fist, gathering power. He winked and disappeared. Annabeth was left straddling air and nearly punching hard concrete. She leapt to her feet, looking around. He appeared near Percy who had just got to his feet. His sword was in his hand but limp by his side. It had rained yesterday and everything was still wet. All the water nearby collected in a pool by the man's feet. Percy yelled and a powerful hurricane exploded up  around him as he fought the villain. The rain and clouds obscured them both but sounds rang out. A yell, a scream, a clang, a crash and more echoed out. Annabeth attempted to reach Percy, however was stopped by the strong winds. The man stumbled out, wheezing. A hand of water pulled him back in. All of a sudden the hurricane dissipated. When all cleared, Percy was left standing, holding a sword to the man's throat. The man smiled, his robes plastered to his body.

"Now, that's power. Thank you for your help. I'll keep you at the top of my list." he said, ominously.

Disappearing to the fire escape above them, then a rooftop. With that he was gone, to Annabeth's frustration.
