The siblings stood at the window, watching the darkened sky.

"Hey, Nyssa?" Percy said, breaking the comfortable silence.

"Yeah?" Nyssa responded.

"Let me show you one of my favorite parts of being a child of Poseidon."

"Sure?" Nyssa said, puzzled at where this was going.

Percy smiled and hoisted himself over the windowsill. He flashed her a grin and leapt, landing with a small grunt.

"Percy!" she said, a tinge of worry shone in her words. The ground was quite far from  the cabin's window.

"I'm fine. Come on." he said, beckoning her down. "I'll catch you."

Nyssa leapt onto the edge and landed on the grass, effortlessly without a sound. Percy grinned as he stepped back, clearly not needed to catch anyone.

"Nice landing." he commented.

"Dancer." she replied with a small shrug.

Percy grabbed her hand and broke out in a run. Nyssa cried out in surprise as she was tugged along.

"Wait! What about the harpies?" she exclaimed, remembering the stories of the fearsome ladies.

"Don't worry. They suck at security. I've snuck out of camp so many times."

Percy led her down the hill, until the grass changed to soft sand. Nyssa could smell salt in the air. She heard waves crashing on the land, rhythmically. As if it was trying to whisper something to the people listening.

"The beach?"

"Yep!" Percy said, his excitement obvious.

"Cool!" she muttered as they slowed to a stop.

"Right okay. So being a child of the gods, you inherit certain powers or traits."

"Ok?" Nyssa said, her mind racing, abuzz with possibilities.

"Being a child of Poseidon, we have a connection to water." Percy continued.

Percy walked towards the ocean. He turned back to her, commanding the water to explode behind him. He grinned at her shocked face.

"Did you do that?"

"Yeah. Come here. Watch this!" he said as he manipulated the water into different shapes. A shining pegasus danced through the air, a peacock spread its tail, and such. Nyssa gave him ideas and they experimented. Percy dropped the water with a splash.

"I want to show you  something." he said, walking into the water. Nyssa ran after him.

"What?" her eyes were bright with curiosity.

"Hang on, give me a second." Percy slipped, his shirt off and threw it to the beach.

"Why?" Nyssa said, she said looking towards the empty beach.

"It's a signal so Annabeth doesn't get worried and knows I'm in the ocean. I don't want to disappear on her. Never again."

"That's cute." Nyssa gushed."You guys really love each."

"To Tartarus and back."

Nyssa turned back to him and gasped.

"Percy? Oh my gods. Your scars?" Nyssa exclaimed, worry laced through her words.

"Oh! Demigod life is crazy especially for me. Moving on?" he said, awkwardly.

"Yeah, yeah!" she said haltingly. "What did you want to show me?"
