Beca POV
"You smell." I say as I walk into the kitchen and see Jesse with a peg on his nose. I blink a few times to make sure I'm not seeing things.
"Am I hallucinating or do you actually have an emergency peg on your nose?"
"Yes." Jesse replies with a weird voice. "And it's your daughter's ass that smells." He holds up the bag and my eyes water. I look over at Bella, she's just peacefully sucking on her dummy, which mind you is half the size of her face. She looks as if she's an angel who never did a toxic shit.
"I was thinking we could go on a picnic down by the water today with dad." I mention.
"Really? Doesn't sound like something you would do."
"Well I'm getting into the spirit, of being a mum and doing sweet crap. Enjoy it while it lasts Jesse." I smile cheekily. Bella starts to stir and I let her cry for a bit. I pick her up and look her in the eyes.
"I love you Bel. Don't EVER forget it." I say sternly. She stops crying and I put her back down on her little play mat.
"WHAT was that?!" Jesse asks.
"Just a little memo for her. I'm not gonna always be this nice you know."
"Oh, sorry, you were being nice?" Jesse says cheekily.
"Well played Swanson, well played."
Chloe POV
"I'm gonna go to the shops in 15 minutes, are you gonna come?" I say as I get out of the shower.
"Nah, I'm going to clean up."
"Have fun with that hun."
"You know I will!" He says sarcastically.
