Anime: My Hero Academia
Characters: Katsuki x OchacoStudying for Love
Breathing hard, Ochaco pulled herself up on the beam for one last pull up before releasing and thumping to the ground. Wiping her brow she walked over to her water bottle and gulped the cold liquid quickly. Her fellow classmate stood next to her also drinking his water. She peeked slyly at the sweat glistening off his muscles, and the way his chest heaved as he tried to catch his breath. His blonde hair was damp from sweat and water as he poured the remaining amount of water over his head.
"Oh, hey Kacchan!" She greeted her classmate with a smile.
"Oi, what's up?" He looked over at her with his signature glare and frown. Even though he seemed unapproachable and angry, Katsuki was very kind to his friends, and very loyal to being a hero, he was just very hotheaded at times. Which is probably what lead to Ochaco to gain a small crush on him. Everyone thought that she would always end up with Deku, and for a moment so did she, but she never really gained those feelings for him. Sooner or later she began to realize the butterflies she would get in her stomach always happened when she talked to Kacchan, and it started after their first fight at the tournament when they were first years.
"Just finished up some light training," she chuckled.
"Light huh? I guess everything's light with that quirk," he looked around at all the heavy equipment she had used for her exercises.
"Yeah it is, but I don't like using my quirk that much in the gym, I can't rely on my quirk for everything so basic training is always good to learn," she replied grabbing her gym bag and shoving her water bottle in it before zipping it up.
"Well you're one of the smart ones," he said, referring to their classmates who only relied on their quirks, never exercising to level up their strength.
"Yeah, I assume so, everyone's different though," she said thoughtfully.
"You wanna walk back to the dorms?" He asked picking up his bag.
"Sure, I'm in dire need of a shower!" Chuckling, Ochaco follwed Katsuki out the gym doors to the sidewalks of the school grounds. The air was chilly against their sweaty bodies as they walked in silence to their dorms. Upon reaching the dorm building they saw most students still lingering outside including Deku and Tsu.
"Hey guys! Gym night again?" Tsu spoke up as they approached them.
"Yeah, exams are next week and I just needed to release some stress," Ochaco said rubbing her shoulders.
"Oh yeah, I know some ways to relieve stress," Tsu winked. Ochaco rolled her eyes and lightly punched Tsu on the shoulder as Deku's faced turned red and Katsuki chuckled.
"Alright guys, I'm heading to the bath, I'll see you later for dinner!" Ochaco waved as she walked into the dorms, Katsuki following silently. They entered the elevator that lead them to their rooms, which was coincidently on the same floor.
"See ya later!" Ochaco waved to her fellow classmate who only grunted and waved back. She made her way to her room to drop off her gym bag and grab her bath stuff and pajamas. Walking back out in her slippers she headed towards the all girls bathroom which was luckily empty. After filling up the bath with water and scented oils she undressed and let herself sink in the warmth. Sighing, she leant her head back to wet her hair before rubbing her body with soap and washing her hair of any filth from the day. After tying her hair up with a towel she leaned back to enjoy the quiet time. This was Ochaco's favorite time of the day, after working hard all day in school, training, and gym time, bath time was always her favorite way to unwind. After relaxing until her fingers began to prune, she removed herself from the bath and began to dry off. Once dressed she walked back to her dorm and grabbed her books before heading back down to the kitchen. After making some ramen she sat herself down at one of the tables and began to study while slowly eating her noodles. Katsuki soon entered the kitchen as well, pouring himself a bowl of cereal to munch on. Sitting across from Ochaco he scrolled on his phone while munching on the sugary corn flakes. Ignoring his presence she continued to read her textbook while writing down important notes to remember for the test.
"Do you really need to study? You're like the smartest kid in our class," Katsuki spoke up as he watched her scribble.
"Hm? I don't think so, my math grade has been slipping lately due to training, I haven't been able to get much study time in for it," she sighed leaning back in her chair.
"Well, I'm pretty good in math, if you need help studying I could help," he mumbled with a mouth full.
"That would be great! Thanks, Kacchan!" She exclaimed as she shut her book and got back to eating.
"No problem, I'm heading back to my room, you can come up when you're done eating," he said taking his bowl to the sink to wash before retreating to his room. Not long after Tsu walked in to see Ochaco washing her bowl as well.
"Hey, a few of us are going to watch a movie in the lounge room, wanna join?" Tsu asked grabbing a few waters from the fridge.
"Nah, Kacchan is helping me study for the math exam next week, I'm going to his room," she said grabbing her books.
"Oh, I see, well enjoy studying," Tsu grinned mischievously.
"What's that suppose to mean?" She asked confused.
"Oh come on, Ochaco! Katsuki asked you to study in his room, alone, just the two of you! He totally likes you!" She exclaimed.
"What? No thats crazy! We're just friends!" Ochaco defended herself.
"Yeah right! You two are always together, I bet you don't even notice the way he looks at you, he's totally into you!" Tsu laughed as she walked away. Ochaco frowned at her words and went to the elevator to head up to meet Kacchan. There's no way he likes me right? I mean, we're just really good friends, and if he did like someone, it wouldn't be me, would it? She was so lost in thought she hadn't realized she was standing outside of Katsuki's door. She sucked in a deep breath and knocked twice before hearing a faint "come in" from the other side. She opened the door to reveal his ordinary room, nothing too extravagant. His bed had plain bed sheets on them, even though they looked quite comfortable, he also had ordinary furniture. Just a dresser, a desk, and a shabby red carpet on the floor. The room itself was clean, and the decor was mainly awards he had won over the last few years along with some old All Might posters. All in all, it was a typical guys room, just plain and simple.
"You can sit over here, I just washed my bedsheets so don't worry," Katsuki said patting his hand on the end of his bed. Not knowing what he meant she sat down anyways and opened her text book to the chapter she was stuck on. "Alright whatcha need help with kid?".
"Well, I'm not really sure how to solve these equations or how to graph them, I never know which formula to use," she said scrolling her fingers over the example problems. Katsuki sat with her patiently as he helped her understand the different formulas and how to use each one until she finally got the gist of it.
"Ugh, I swear I can't thank you enough, Kacchan!" Ochaco stretched as she slammed her book shut and looked at the time from his alarm clock, which read it was already past midnight. "Studying sure does suck, it just stresses me out so much that my muscles ache, I guess my bath didn't help that much."
"Well maybe a massage would," Katsuki suggested.
"Yeah that would be great, I should make an appointment with the spa tomorrow after training, it's been a while," she said as she thought about the last time she was there.
"Well, maybe I could help you? I could give you one, if you don't mind," he asked with a slight blush to his face.
"Oh, sure! Only if you want to though," she smiled. He motioned for her to turn around which she obeyed. She felt his hands land on her shoulders and to much surprise they were actually really soft compared to how she thought they felt like. His fingers ran in circles across her shoulders and down her back so mesmerizingly that she started to relax under them.
"Maybe you wanna lay down?" Katsuki laughed as her body swayed a bit. She didn't hesitate to lay on his bed as he picked up where he was, digging his fingers in her lower back, trying to release the tension of the many knots she had. She hadn't realized she had started to drift off until Katsuki began to shake her shoulders.
"Oi! Don't go to sleep in my bed," he complained.
"Hm, sorry," she mumbled sitting up and rubbing her eyes to try to get the sleep out of them. She looked up to see his face was flushed a deep red as he stared at her. "What's wrong?".
"It's.. just.. nothing!" He defended himself quickly.
"Ya know, Tsu said the funniest thing earlier," Ochaco laughed.
"What's that?" He asked still blushing.
"She said that you have a crush on me, it's crazy I know!" She chuckled. "I told her I'd think you would have a crush on someone better than someone like me, but she kept insisting."
Katsuki was silent for a moment, and Ochaco looked over to see him for once without a glare on his face. He looked so innocent, just staring at her with wide eyes and a small frown.
"What's wrong?" She asked him, confused at his reaction. She waited silently for him to answer but frowned when she figured he wouldn't. She gathered her books and began to stand up when she felt Katsuki's hand gently grab her wrist pulling her back down, but closer to him. She looked at him confusingly as he tried to gather the right words to say to her.
"Why would you think I wouldn't like someone like you?" He asked quietly, almost a whisper.
"Well, because I'm not that special, you're the great Katsuki who's going to become one of the greatest hero's in history! I'm just an ordinary girl with a quirk that can't do much but move heavy objects, it's great for evacuations and saving people from crumbling buildings, but that's all I'm good at really," she stated, as she put herself down as usual.
"But Ochaco, that's not true," he frowned. "You're a great hero, you've trained so hard to get here and you never give up no matter what's thrown at you. You stand on your own and handle any problem head on without a second thought, I admire that about you."
She smiled at him before her eyes locked on his hand that was still wrapped around her wrist. When she looked up to question it she noticed how close his face was to hers. So close she could feel his breath fanning her face, she could faintly smell mint toothpaste, meaning he must of brushed his teeth before she came up.
"Ochaco, would it really be that bad if I liked you?" He asked. She gulped as she shook her head as an answer, which caused him to lean in closer until their lips were only centimeters apart.
"Good, cause this would suck if I got rejected after this," he whispered before he lightly pressed his lips against hers. She inhaled and held her breath as her lips molded against his almost perfectly. His lips were soft, almost as if kissing a feather. He placed a hand behind her head and deepened the kiss until they could no longer get any closer to each other. Their chests heaved against each other as they finally separated to catch their breaths. Ochaco looked up into Katsuki's red tinted eyes, only to see complete honesty shining through them. Wrapping her arms around his neck she leant against his shoulder and inhaled his musky scent.
"You know, I've had the biggest crush on you since we first dueled each other," she giggled.
"Yeah, I would have to say the same, I thought it was hot how you stood up to me and fought with all you had," he reminisced. She chuckled again before sitting up and looking at the time again.
"I should get going, it's late and we have school tomorrow," she said standing up to stretch. He stood up with her and grabbed her books to walk her back to her room. They were quiet so they wouldn't wake anyone up so they wouldn't be caught. Once reaching her door she turned to him and leaned up to kiss him on the lips before opening her door.
"Goodnight, Katsuki," she smiled.
"Wait, does this mean you'll be my girlfriend?" He asked.
"Hmm, well yeah I guess so," she felt giddy, she had never had a boyfriend before.
"Well, good, then goodnight," he said as he started walking away before turning back around to grab her face in between his hands and kissed her passionately. She melted into the kiss, letting her hands rest against his chest as they stood in their own world. He leant back and looked down at her with a blush as he stared into her sparkling eyes.
"See you tomorrow, maybe hit the gym up?" He asked her as he rubbed his thumb along her cheek.
"Yeah of course, wouldn't miss it," she smiled as he pecked her lips one more time before walking back to his room. She smiled and shut the door leaning against it as she clutched her chest in excitement. She had never thought that Katsuki would ever like her in return, not only that but he had stolen her first kiss. She couldn't help but keep her grin as she stripped from her pants and turned the lights off and her fan on. Laying in bed she looked at her ceiling as her heart jumped in her chest wildly. Things are going to be much better now! At that thought she had dozed off to sleep, neither one of the teens realizing they were being watched by a certain froggy in the shadows, who was grinning with satisfaction of being right.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
