Months had passed since Deku started dating Katsuki, which at first it was weird for them and to everyone who knew. After time Deku basically breathed for Katsuki, he couldn't stand being away from him for a day, but he felt that Kacchan didn't feel the same way for him. Katsuki wouldn't hold Deku for long, and he never kissed him unless Deku asked, or even hold hands. Winter break was approaching and Deku was excited to be able to spend time with his mom and take a break from hero training along with studies, but sad that he wouldn't see Katsuki everyday like he was use too. As he was packing his suitcases up a knock sounded from his door, opening up before he had a chance to call out to whoever it was.
"Oi, Deku," Katsuki walked in casually wearing sweatpants and a tank.
"Yes, Kacchan?"
"You all packed? Make sure you packed everything, you always forgot something," Katsuki's eyes scanned the room, trying to find something Deku had missed, these were the only moments when he showed he cared, when he was making fun of Deku.
"Yes, everything's packed," Deku frowned, staring down at his hands.
"What's wrong?"
"Hmm? Nothing, just thinking about my mom, I miss her," it wasn't a total lie, Deku really did miss his mom.
"Yeah, I miss my old hag too, you and auntie should visit for dinner one night, I'm sure my mom would love the company," Katsuki mentioned sitting next to Deku on the floor.
"Yeah that sounds nice, I'm sure my mom is super lonely all the time," Deku frowned at the thought that his mom really was alone, Deku was her only company until he left.
"I don't like the frowning, Deku," Katsuki reached over to grab Deku's cheeks, squishing them together with this fingers and thumb.
"Showwy," he tried to mumbled, but it came out weird. Katsuki let go of his cheeks with a soft chuckle, shaking his head.
"You're too cute," he gave a small smirk, cocking his head as his eyes squinted. Deku's eyes widened as a blush crept across his cheeks, he's so beautiful. He didn't realize he was leaning forward until he felt Katsuki's breath fanning his lips. Katsuki sat there waiting for Deku to land a kiss, but it never came.
"Ahem," a voice sounded behind them, turning there stood Aizawa with a annoyed expression.
"Can't you two let me have peace for one night? I shouldn't have to keep reminding you both about curfew every night, after you leave this campus I don't care what you do, but you're still on campus, and have to follow the rules," he glared at the two boys. Deku's face was flushed with embarrassment and Katsuki's face was red with anger from being interrupted, like they were every night.
"Tch, whatever, night, Deku," Katsuki stomped out the room down to his.
"Night.." he was use to having the small moments ruined, but it still sucked. Sighing, Deku went back to packing his bags, triple checking that he had absolutely everything he needed for home. Satisfied with his work he readied himself for bed, turned the lights out, and laid under his covers ready for sleep to take him. Before consciousness could take over he heard a tapping coming from the glass sliding door that led to his mini balcony. Confused he walked over to the blinds and pulled them aside slowly to see Katsuki standing outside with his signature glare.
"Kacchan? What are you doing?" Deku whispered opening the door.
"I want my goodnight kiss," he muttered stepping in the room.
"What if we get caught?"
"Who cares."
Deku took quick steps back trying to understand what was happening as Katsuki kept up with him. Deku's legs buckled from under him as he hit his bed, falling back staring up at Katsuki who towered over him in the dark, the only light coming from his All Might night light. Katsuki crawled over his body, hovering above him just staring at Deku intently.
"Kacchan?" Deku whispered, waiting for him to do something. Leaning down towards his face Katsuki paused right before their lips touched, wanting to tease him like he had earlier.
"Kiss me goodnight then," Deku whispered in the dark, sounding more seductive than intended. Katsuki internally groaned as he crashed his lips on the nerd below him, deepening the kiss as he pulled Deku closer to his body. Deku instinctively wrapped his arms around his neck, pulling along with him as he tried to match Katsuki's furious kisses. Sweeping his tongue on Deku's bottom lip, asking for permission which he eagerly accepted, his tongue explored Deku's mouth, tasting of mint from previously brushing his teeth. Katsuki hadn't realized he began grinding on Deku until he pulled back with a flushed face trying to keep his voice in. Katsuki pulled himself away quickly breathing heavily, staring down at Deku to see him trying to catch his breath while trying to hide his hard on.
"I gotta go, night," Katsuki quickly left to the balcony, blasting back off to his room. Deku laid there for a few minutes in confusion before shutting the door and climbing back into bed, wondering why Katsuki had left so quickly. Is he uncomfortable with doing those things? What if he's realizing he's not really gay? What if it's just me? Thoughts raced in his mind as he sunk further in bed and in himself, not getting a wink of sleep the whole night. Katsuki on the other hand was busy relieving himself to a picture Deku he had sent him the day before. The next morning the class of 1A left the building as their families picked them up for winter break, all saying their goodbyes and happy holidays. Deku walked out to see his mom waiting for him by her car, next to her stood Katsuki's parents, chatting amongst themselves.
"Could you walk any slower?" A voice grumbled from behind him, turning to see Katsuki standing there with bags in hand.
"Oh sorry, Kacchan," Deku giggled quietly but his face fell when Katsuki just rolled his eyes and walked past him. I guess I was right then..
"Izuku!" His mom ran up to him and wrapped him in a tight hug.
"Mom! I've missed you!" Deku hugged her back.
"Oi brat, why don't you ever greet me like that?!" Katsuki's mom smacked the back of his head.
"Why would I want to hug an old hag?" Katsuki shouted back at her, making her hit him again.
"Katsuki, don't be rude to your mother, we've missed you so much!" His dad smiled at him.
"Tch, whatever," he threw his bags in the car and got in the car without saying anything else.
"Oh, Inku, you're son is such an angel compared to my little devil!" Mitsuki gleamed.
"Oh you're son is wonderful too!" Inku complimented back.
"You both should join us for dinner this Saturday! It'll give us time to catch up and the boys can have fun!" Mitsuki wouldn't take no for an answer so the plans were made. Izuku frowned as he got into the car sad that Katsuki hadn't said anything to him. After reaching home and unpacking for the next month he spent the night eating dinner and catching up with his mom, telling her the good parts of UA.
"I just worry about you, Izuku, I don't want you in danger, and it just seems that's all you get into," his mom smiled softly with tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, mom, I wish I could promise that it won't happen but it's just what happens in this world, and I wouldn't change it, I really want to be a hero," he smiled.
"I know, that doesn't make me less of a mom who worries though!" She laughed at him pinching his cheek. The rest of the night was spent watching movies and catching up in each other lives until it was time for bed. Deku laid on his side under the covers staring at his phone debating on texting Katsuki or not, deciding not too he placed his phone down and tried to sleep.
Ding
Deku grabbed his phone to see a message pop up from Katsuki, clicking it open he read:
Can't wait to see you Saturday, think you could spend the night?
Deku's face flared as he reread the message over and over again, trying to make sense of it.
Sure.
Deku turned his phone off and stared up at his ceiling lost in thought. One moment he acts like he cares, and then the next he doesn't.. I don't understand.
Saturday finally rolled around as Deku and his mother made their way to the Bakugou home where Mitsuki greeted them.
"Welcome, welcome! Come in!" She ushered them in the nice home, everything was neatly decorated, the opposite of Katsuki. "Deku, Katsuki's upstairs preparing his room for your sleepover, it's so nice to see you guys being friends again, I was worried in middle school when you stopped coming around!"
Deku thanked her making his way up the familiar stairs, pausing outside the bedroom he hasn't been in since he was a child. Sucking in a deep breath he knocked on the door, listening closely for a reply.
"Come in," came a monotoned response. Deku pushed opened the door and stepped in to see Katsuki laying back on his bed with a book in his hands. His room was just like he remembered, except his toys were no longer there, replaced with gym equipment, he still had his few All Might posters and collectibles they both had gotten with each other when they were younger and actually friends.
"Oi, you just going to stand there or you going to relax? Your cots over there," Katsuki looked up from his book. Deku gulped and made his way over to the made up cot, placing his bag on the floor next to it sitting down.
"Oi, nerd! Why are you being so quiet? Quit being a loser and say something," Katsuki pressed on.
"Are you sure you really like me?" Deku finally spoke up, letting his head hang.
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
"Do you really like me? Because I'm not sure what we're doing anymore," he looked up with a forced grin as tears brimmed his eyes.
"Where is this coming from, Deku?" Katsuki asked softly.
"You keep saying those awful words you used in middle school, and lately it feels like you're pushing me away, you never kiss me unless I ask or initiate it, and the last night we spent in the dorm after our make out you had disgust in your eyes and you just left me, you wouldn't even look at me the day after, you don't even text me half the time, so I'm just trying to understand why?
