Bedai's P.O.V

We kind of all just stood in silence, staring at Raki's motionless form. His last words replayed in my head. 'I always wanted to die protecting you...Good-bye sis.' The sadness in his voice contradicted the smile on his face. I can't figure it out, why would he...

Suddenly Dashyte just lost it, her quite sobs turned into loud cry's of sorrow. It only took me a second to kneel down to her level and put my arms around her. She welcomed my embrace quickly putting her arms around me, burying her face into my chest. Her muffled cry's made my heart ache even more. Even though i was hurt by Raki's death, seeing Dashyte in this state made me feel like everything had fallen out of my chest leaving me wondering what was pulling at my heart even further down.

Taki's P.O.V

As my brother gently held onto Dashyte shaking form, Kya had put an arm around my shoulder. I was in a daze. Raki...is...dead. Is this reality? Or just a terrible nightmare? Even though i wanted it to be nothing more than just a dream, i knew this was a harsh reality, but i've never had to deal with the death of a friend before. This empty feeling in my chest, it hurts.

Kya pulled me to her side: "It may seem dark right now, but everything will be alright."

I watched as Crystal reached out, gripping onto Gaara's sleeve. Her shoulders began to shake as he put his arm's around her. I don't think either of them could speak at the moment, but we all knew we couldn't stay here much longer. None of us were really in any condition to put up a fight if anyone else showed up.

After a few more minute's Kya let go of me and stepped over to Gaara pulling out a scroll. Through the few tears that had actually made it past his emotionless bairer, he nodded. Kya then stepped over to Raki's body, getting down on her knees she rolled out the scroll. After writing the necessary symbols followed by the hand signs, Raki's body disappeared in a cloud of smoke. I think we all said a prayer before Kya picked up the scroll and handed it to Crystal.

Kya spoke quietly: "We should get going."

Crystal nodded and looked to me: "Do you need help?"

Putting a hand up to my right eye, i still couldn't see out of it: "Maybe a little, My vision is still distorted."

Nodding she stepped forward taking my hand, Then Crystal looked back at my brother: "What about you?"

Bedai's P.O.V

Dashyte had fallen asleep in my arms, her hands balled up in loose fists, but at least she seemed to be at peace.

Despite the numbing pain in my left shin i answered Crystal by carefully moving my arms around Dashyte picking her up and stood up holding her close.

Gaara nodded to me: "Let's get moving."

When we arrived back at the village we were taken straight to the hospital. Gaara and Kya were fine besides a few scratches, Crystal had some minor injury's as well as Dashyte though her's were a little more serious. I found out Taki had lost her right eye and needed some stitches while i had strained most of my muscles, had a bit of internal bleeding and wouldn't be able to send chakra through my left arm anymore.

After she had been taken care off, Taki walked into my room taking a seat on the end of my bed: "Everyone's been taken care off. Gaara and Crystal went back to the Kazekage building to send word to the leaf about Raki's death. I don't know where Kya went off to, but i suspect she's returning to the leaf. Dashyte is stable and sleeping peacefully for the time being."

The air felt heavy: "What about you? Are you ok?"

Taki turned to look at me, her right eye covered in bandages: "Hm? Well besides my eye, there really isn't anything wrong with me."

Sliding my hand across the bed, i took hold of my sister's hand holding it tight: "That's not what i meant."

Tears started to form in her eyes, she flung herself into my chest, her voice breaking: "No."

I put my arms around her rubbing her back as she sobbed: "It's Ok...just let it out....let it out." Resting my head on top of her's my own eyes started to water. "It's gonna be ok."
