Raki's P.O.V
As we were cleaning up the dishes Dashyte spoke up: "O yeah, dad said you had something for me when i got home."
I watched as my mother kindly smiled at her: "Yes i do, but you'll have to close your eyes first." My sister closed her eyes right away. "Alright, now no peeking."
Dashyte smirked: "No promises." To which mom smacked her over the head. "ow,.... ok fine."
Mom stood up from the table, stepped over the the counter and pulled down a small grey box from the top of the fridge and set it down in front of Dashyte: "You can open your eyes now."
My sister quickly opened the tiny box and pulled out a chain necklace with a little bear on the end of it.
Dashyte's P.O.V
Inside the box was a chain necklace with a little teddy bear on it very similar to mom's, but this one had golden paws and a light blue heart in it.
Mom stood up, walking behind me to help put on the necklace: "Your father and I made this for your 17th birthday, but since i know you'll be on a mission i thought i'd just give it to you early."
I carefully held the bear hanging from my neck on my finger tips for a few moments before standing up to embrace my mother in a tight hug: "Thank you so much." When i let go i noticed dad standing in the doorway.
Gaara actually had a small smile on his face as he spoke: "We thought you would like it." He stepped over to me putting his arms around me, lifting me off the floor.
: "Hey, hey." I kicked at the air. "Put me down."
Dad slightly frowned as he set me down: "What i can't hold my little girl?"
Crossing my arms: "I'm not a little girl anymore."
Mom came up behind me gripping me in a head-lock and started messing up my hair: "Though that my be true, you will always be our little girl to us. Just as Raki will always be our little boy."

Dashyte squirmed out of Crystal's hold and half attempted to fix her now frizzled hair. Raki was quickly snickering from the side.
: "Ok, ok...Now Dashyte you need to get to sleep, Raki you as well. I'm sending you both on a Rank B mission tomorrow."
Raki smirked: "Yosh!" And headed out of the kitchen grabbing a few cookies on his way out. Dashyte was right behind him, almost sprinting up the stairs.
After the kids had left the kitchen, i turned to the plate of cookie, but as i reached for one Crystal took the plate away.
: "but, cookies."
Crystal slightly glared at me: "And who was it that was late for supper yet again? hm?"
I gulped: "Ah, now you know I had a late meeting to attend with the officials about what's been going on around the border."
Crystal: "Yeah, i know."
I tried again to reach past her for one of her home made cookies, but this time she shoved a plate into my hand.
She looked up at me, a small frown on her face: "You've been working to much lately and I know you've been skipping meals to try and catch up on some paper work." After placing two cookies on the edge of my plate. "When you need help, all you need is ask."
: "You know i don't want to bother you will all that boring paper work and meetings and compromises."
Crystal smiled kindly at me, stood on her tip-toes placing a kiss on my cheek: "That doesn't bother me when your by my side." Turning away she started towards the stairs. "Now hurry up and come to bed yourself, Kami knows you need rest as well."
Looking down at my meal, i could tell she had kept it warm for me, biting into the cookie i wondered 'How was i lucky enough to be placed with you at my side?'
After quickly eating my supper, i cleaned up and went to our room, laying down pulling my wife close to me: "Good night."
Crystal's tired voice was barely loud enough to hear: "Night teddy bear."
