even though jimin's home was the sea, yoongi had to make him his.

Chapter Text

when yoongi had finally made it big, it was at that same moment he decided he needed to get away from the world.

being a world-wide known producer was nice, especially because yoongi loved music, but he knew he deserved a break. and that was why he was moving all the way to busan, with a house near the sea.

yoongi did not like going outside that much, like at all, but the view was amazing and he could definitely afford the price, so he decided "why not."

"so here are the keys to the house," his friend and pseudo-realtor, jin, said while handing him a pair of rusty keys. "have a hell of a time!"

the slightly older man childishly giggled, running out of the house, probably back to his apartment that he shared with his boyfriend, namjoon. yoongi sighed, pulling his luggage with him and walking his way up the stone path to his new house.

hopefully, someday it would become a home.

"you didn't move there for nothing," yoongi's manager, hoseok, chattered down the phone line. even though he was on hiatus for the time being it didn't mean he was going to ignore the world (even though he really, really wanted to).

"yeah, i get that, but i just don't like the outdoors. you won't see the words 'min yoongi' and 'outside' in the same sentence,"

"so you moved out there just to be holed up in a room... why don't you just come back to seoul?"

that was the million dollar question that yoongi simply did not have a perfect answer to. it felt as if something was encouraging him to get out of seoul and escape to busan. not that there was something that he was running away from... it was more like an urge.

"it's cheaper here..." yoongi mumbled, moving around the now-cold ramen he had made with his chopsticks. that made sense, and it would hopefully get hoseok off his back, just for a little while.

"as if money is an issue for you, min fucking yoongi, aka suga, a worldwide sensation."

"hey, it's better to spend responsibly and what not..."

"you're talking as if you have zero self control," hoseok bit out, and yoongi could imagine him at the exact moment with a hand on his hip, rolling his eyes. "but if you're happy, that's all that matters."

"might as well change your name to jung tree, cause you're sappy." yoongi teased, but he couldn't deny the warm feeling that spread through his chest. it felt nice to know that someone really cared for him in a familial way and what not. he lost that feeling way too many times with his actual family.

"sounds like something i would say, to be honest."

"it works better when i say it though... i'm tired, i'll talk to you later." without waiting for a response, yoongi hung up the phone. he honestly didn't have the energy for a lot of social interaction. it explained why he moved to the "middle of nowhere," next to the sea with the hopes of being solitary.
