: IChapter Text

The sun shone brightly through the trees, the cool breeze the wind provided working hard at keeping the warmth from becoming too overbearing. Every member of the pack was busy, whether it be the alphas who were out hunting, the betas who were overseeing in their place, or even the pups splashing away in the stream, enjoying the time before winter hit and it became too cold to play. The pack worked around in harmony, and even the screams coming from the birthing den weren't enough to shatter the peace hanging over them.

"Come on, Soomin, just a few more pushes!" The young female omega was unable to register the midwife's words, too busy focusing on her breathing as another contraction hit. She wasn't even sure just how long she had been in the birthing den in that position, as the whole experience was being blurred together by the pain. "I can see the head!" Soomin pushed one last time, her mind going fuzzy almost immediately. When she was finally clearheaded, the first thing she registered was a small cry, followed by the midwife announcing, "It's a male~" before her newborn pup was placed against her chest. Soomin looked down and couldn't help the smile or tears of joy that appeared as she looked down at her pup latching onto her for his first feeding. "What will you name him?"

Soomin gazed at her pup in awe, a single finger trailing over his soft, but still messy skin. "Jimin~"

The meadow in the center of the territory was full of omegas and their young pups, getting some well deserved fresh air. Most of the pups had shifted into their wolf forms and were chasing each other around, tackling and nipping each other as they played. Others stayed in human form and gathered into distinct groups to explore, finding great enjoyment in disturbing the lives of the various six-legged creatures they found crawling around. Jimin, however, sat off by himself, pulling small strands of grass as a melody left his mouth. No words were formed by his sounds, just random syllables and hums made up his song as he danced his fingers along the ground around him.

He came to a halt when a vibrant purple flower caught his attention. He looked around and noticed that this seemed to be the only flower like it in the area. Finding its appearance breathtaking, the young pup tugged it from the ground and stood up, toddling over to where his mother sat a few feet away. "Eomma~" He called as he approached her, holding the flower out for her as she looked up from the project in her hands. "Got you a flower~"

Soomin smiled gently at her pup and accepted the delicate gift. "Thank you, my love." She brought the flower up to her nose and sniffed it, enjoying the calming scent as she pulled Jimin in for a hug.
