Chapter Text
He can feel the heat seeping through his pores, cusping his bones, drenching his body in a flushed warmth. A sheen layer of sweat was clung to Jimin's body, pooling slightly at the small of his back, just above the black shorts adhered to his body. The heat was cranked, turning the dimly lit room into something close to a sauna. Jimin knew it was for one reason only, the customers liked seeing them sweaty, liked to watch as they stripped off clothing items one by one, but it still wasn't enough to extinguish the crimson heat cascading up their bodies.Despite the constant state of feeling like he was basking in summer heat all day, Jimin truly loved his job. Sure, it was dirty, frowned upon even, but seeing people crave him, want him made all of that shame fizz away. To put a proper name to it, you could call him an exotic dancer of sorts, though there was a bit more to it than that.
He worked at the Purity Ring, a place of high status. It was, pre-say, a blood bar for vampires to get their doses of moderately 'fresh' blood. But also, a place for a bit of entertainment. The entertainment being himself, Jungkook, Taehyung and a few others, all of them humans and struggling to pay off student loans and apartment fees. Or previously struggling considering the amount they got paid. It was no lie that vampires drinking human blood released out a euphoric bliss burning deep inside them. Or to be rash, made them horny.
Blood Bars weren't particularly uncommon, considering the uproar of vampire turnings recently. Usually they fed off animal blood since it was the easiest to access. Human blood though, was a special treat. Of course, Seokjin, the owner of 'Purity Ring' had made it extremely clear to never let the vampires to feed directly from the source. Not in fear of turning them into vampires (since you needed to ingest vampire blood for that to actually happen) but simply like how in an ordinary strip club there were 'no touching policies'. They did however, have to get blood taken everyday before the club had opened.
Truthfully it hadn't bothered Jimin much, he got to dance, he got to do what he loved and know that people wanted him, so sacrificing a bit of blood for the for the cause didn't bug him. He had thought about a vampire pressing their sharp fangs into his neck before, feeling the pain dissolve into bliss possibly, or having the pain buzz and tug before it hurt too much for him to handle. He hadn't known which it could be, or maybe something entirely different. Never had he actually tried it. It never seemed to be the right person.
It was a slow night, just like most Wednesdays were. It didn't bug Jimin considering he could dance slow, nothing rushed or haste; just delicate and soft movements. Taehyung had just finished his performance, his being much more sporadic and prismatic than Jimin's. While Taehyung wore jockstraps and everything rainbow, twisting down a stripper pole like his life depended on it, Jimin wore black shorts, and stuck to the stage. The customers seemed to enjoy both though, maybe for the drastic differences, or that either way they were both wearing next to nothing.
People were scattered all along the lower lip beneath the stage, behind the golden bar that hung from the edges. They were people Jimin had seen before, their regulars, vampires that the bartender knew their drink order before they had even spoken. Currently Jimin was standing behind the thick blue velvet curtain dangling at the back of the stage, waiting the 10-minute gap they needed to take before each performance.
