Lady's POV:
"So tell me, how did you know that Harry is married?" I ask Sophia, after I lead her to the guest room. The room is so simple, never been used, the walls are covered with a plain paper, a California king bed in the middle with pink sheets, two nightstands with white wood beside the bed and the closet is on the left. I help Sophia to move her tiny bag to the room. We're sitting now on the edge of the bed, her hands are crossed over her chest and I'm on her side, facing her pale face, waiting impatiently for to answer.
"I went to see him yesterday in a restaurant, we talked and then he said that he met a girl and he's married now." She looks down, maybe ashamed of what she did. "I have no reason to stay, I really appreciate your offer, but I have to go back to New York, to find a job to pay for my third year in college."
"No, you don't have to find a job for the moment, I won't let you go like this. Plus, he's the idiot, who would ever look for another girl when he had you? Did you see his wife? I bet she's not beautiful like you"
"She so beautiful" She says, and rest her head on her palm, her elbow on her tight.
"Well you're beautiful too, you have a great personality, you are a great dancer and you have a big heart" She hugs me and rest her head on my chest, I rub her hair saying "Don't worry, you'll find another, he's the loser because he lost you. Take a rest now, we're going out tonight, a girl night's out, okay?"
She stands up, surprised "But would Harold mind?".
"Don't worry about him" I smile "I'll tell him that you need to go out, plus, he wouldn't mind. he probably have work" I stand up and say goodbye to her. I still have a long conversation with Harold on where the hell he spent the night. I walk downstairs and I find him in the kitchen, his back on the counter, he hasn't notice me making my way to where he's standing.
"Why you didn't answer your phone?" I say, trying so hard to play cool. His eyes finally meet mine but he doesn't answer. "I asked you, Harold, where did you spent the night? At least, leave me a message so I don't have to worry"
"I'm sorry, I had some work out the town and my phone was out of my reach" He says, resting his both hands on my both shoulders, I yelp from his touch and he frowns. "I'm really sorry"
"I thought you'll come to take me home" I shrug and look down, he reaches for my chin to force me to look at him "I'm really sorry. You know, work can't be run by its own, I need to make money for both of us" I smile nervously and turn away from his gaze, looking for a glass to drink. As I move the glass to the sink to fill with water, the glass slip from my hand and hit the sink. My head becomes so dizzy and my vision get lost. Not again..
Harold's POV:
What I had done yesterday was unforgivable, I got drunk, make out with my wife's cousin and dit not bring Lady home. How could Sophia be Lady's cousin? The second I saw her in the door, so pale and so terrified, i thought she came to tell Lady about me cheating on her. I thought that Sophia was a kiss-and-tell person. But when I learned that Sophia is related to Lady, I wanted to throw up, I felt my blood freezing in my veins. The girl I was meant to marry in my wife's cousin. And what a stupid person to be when I didn't noticed that she has the same last name as Lady before she got married. Oh my God.
Suddenly, a annoying sound wakes me from my self torture, I turn around to find Lady on the floor, the glass shattered in the sink and her head bleeding, Shit! Not again..
Sophia comes running from the hallway, she almost screams when she saw Lady's head bleeding.
"I was in the hallway and I heard a sound like someone is falling" She says as the makes her ways in the kitchen, rushing to wake Lady up.
