4. Saying Goodbye

(Time jump to the day Annie leaves)

"Annie honey wake up. It's time to leave."

"Okay okay, I'm up."

Wow what a great way to wake up.

I go to the bathroom and get ready, grabbing the last couple things that haven't been packed yet, and go downstairs.

"Honey this is a big change for all of us. At least try to smile."

"Right. Let me just try to be happy on the worst day of my life, I'll let you know how that works out if I ever see you again."

"Honey, I know you're upset, but there's no reason to be smart"

"Mom just stop talking to me. Because every single word you say makes me want to just punch you even more. I'll be in the car." My mom looks shocked at my comment, but I just grab my bags, my phone and my coat, and walk to the car. I put my headphones in and start blasting music, its better if I don't hear my parents now anyway.

About 15 minutes later my parents finally get into the car.

"You have all of your things?"

"Yes dad."

My dad nods and starts the car, pulling out of the driveway and onto the street. I lay my head against the window, and somehow manage to fall asleep.

My mom wakes me up by violently shaking me. Even though I'm mad at her, seeing her upset makes me want to throw myself onto the ground and cry.

After saying goodbye to my parents and getting through security, it's finally time to board the plane. I place my bag in the overhead compartment and sit down, making sure I have my headphones, phone and journal, where I write random songs lyrics I come up with.

"Hey, is this seat B34?"

I look up and see a boy about my age, with messy brown hair and green eyes. He's cute, but that's not what I'm here for.

"Uh yeah. Let me just move my book."

"Haha thanks."

The boy sits next to me and goes on Instagram, I can't help but notice how many followers he has. I look at his username asherangel and make a mental note to look him up later. I lean my head against the window and drift into a nice sleep.

"Hey. Are you okay?" I wake up and look at the worried boy who is sitting next to me.

"What?"

"You're crying, are you okay?"
I touch my cheek and feel that it's wet.
Ugh. This is so embarrassing.

"Do you like, wanna talk about it? I'm Asher by the way"

"Um. N-not really."

"Okay that's fine. We just met. So what's your name?"

"Julianna"

"Okay I'll call you Annie is that okay?"

I smile and nod.

"Alright. Do you have insta? Let me follow you."
I hand him my phone and let him follow himself, then he follows back on his phone. I immediately notice how large his follow amount really was.

"2.4 million people follow you?! That's crazy."

Asher laughs and scrolls through my pictures, making comments about every single one.

"You make a cute elephant" Asher says while laughing.

"Oh yeah. It was onesie day at school."

"You play basketball? What can't you do?"

"Haha no. I just did it for the picture honestly."

We both laugh.

"Oh so I see your fourteen?"

"Yeah. My birthday was December 5th"

"Oh happy late late birthday"

"Thank you." I respond, knowing that I'm hardcore blushing. Asher seems really nice. I want to get to know him more.

"So where are you flying to?"

"I'm flying back home, to Arizona. I was filming promo for my movie, Shazam that comes out in April."

I sit stunned. He's cute, and an actor?
