Aubree's sudden need to see Ashton truly confused him. He pondered over it for a few seconds, realizing where he was at the moment.

"I don't know Aub," Ashton spoke. He couldn't have her snooping around, or even risk her seeing something that wasn't pretty. It would ruin everything, his horrid plans, his job, everything. He new he couldn't risk it.

But it was the only way to further gain her trust.

"Please," she whispered, "I need to see you." Ashton breathlessly sighed, nodding even though he knew she couldn't see his sluggish movements.

"Alright, alright. When?"

Was he making the right choice? he knew if she found something, he would be dead.

"Now."

Aubree's POV

I held my breath as I drove to Ashtons place, hardly remembering where he lived. My stomach ached and my hands trembled in excitement. I'm not quite sure why I wanted to see what Ashton was hiding, or if he was even hiding something, but all I could think of was Harry's words flashing through my mind. Was he really bad news? I've known Ashton long enough to realize he's not dangerous. He's sweet and he actually cares about me. Harry on the other hand, is honestly hard to get to know. You show him one bit of sympathy, and he'll instantly hate you.

It bothers me that I can't get inside Harry's head, it's like a steal trap. He won't open up to me and honestly it scares me. What if he's hiding something? something big?

I pulled up to Ashton's quicker than I would've liked. Yes, I wanted to see what he was hiding but I also need more time to think. What the hell was I going to say to Ashton? I had begged him to let me over because I desperately needed to tell him something but what? he'll know all I wanted to do was snoop around.

As my knuckles came in contact with the cold door, I listened closely to the noises coming from inside. Though I heard nothing and I jumped back when the door came slinging open.

"Hey," he smiled. His eyes beaming at me. I have to admit, he's very attractive. But I can't let anything happen between us. Harry would be furious.

Stop thinking about him, you idiot.

"Hi," I smiled, shifting under his stare.

He breathed out, waving his hand towards the door. "Come inside." So I did. I gasped as I walked inside, it was a complete mess. At least the trash scattered over his coffee table showed me it was. It was not like this a few weeks ago, it was spotless.

"What happened?" I ran my fingers along the smooth walls. Maybe he wasn't hiding anything, maybe he was just running around trying to clean up the place?

"Sorry about the mess. I haven't really had time to clean up." he shoved his hands in his pockets. I shook my head, "Don't worry about it." I smiled.

We stood there in silence. Not the comfortable easing silence, like it is with Harry. This silence is uncomfortable and awkward. You could feel the tension, I hated it. What had changed between us?

Suddenly a boy with red hair walked out of the bathroom, his eyes shifting between me and Ashton. He wore a black muscle shirt with white writing across the front as a black pair of ripped skinny jeans hugged his thighs.

"Who's this?" his raspy voice spoke as he reached for an apple, slowly biting into it. I looked over to Ashton, his face pale. Why hadn't he notified him I'd be here? was he ashamed of me? I reverted my full attention to the boy with red hair, giving him a "I'm sorry I randomly popped up without you knowing." look. Honestly it wasn't neither if out faults, it was Ashton's.
