As nervous as I was, I called Harry. I'm afraid of what he'll say about the bruises around my neck, but I have no other choice. We aren't exactly getting along at the moment. Harry was curious to why I was so urgent to see him but he didn't question it as much as I'd thought he would.

So now, Ashton and I were sitting quietly at an abandoned park, nervously waiting for Harry. Ashton hasn't told me what exactly he's going to say to Harry but I'm guessing he has it figured by just looking at him.

His gaze is concentrated on the ragged concrete below our feet as he picks at his nails. "Are you alright?" I decide to ask.

He takes a second to answer. "Are you?"

I wasn't expecting that. I stare at him before looking at the ground, "No."

He nods. "Me to."

"Are you nervous?" I ask. He nods, but then shakes his head.

"I've got it figured out, don't worry." he looks at me and I nod. He is very attractive, but honestly, nobody can compare to Harry.

What are Harry and I? I know he's not exactly the type to date but we've kissed and..

Don't be stupid, he wouldn't go for a girl like you. I find myself saying these words.

I know.

"There he is." Ashton stands up and I peer over towards Harry's black car. He looks furious, jogging to get over to us, his eyebrows are furrowed and his jaw is clenching so much I'm surprised it doesn't break. Oh no.

"Harry-"

"What the hell Aubree! I told you he's dangerous, and look! You're here with him!" he shouts, waving towards Ashton. I'm taken back by his harsh tone, staring at him in anger.

"You're not the boss of me! You can't just control me! If you'd just fucking listen to me for once you would know why he's here!" I step closer towards him. His jaw clenches as he stares down at me. His mouth opens as if he's going to speak but he closes it. He looks at Ashton.

"What do you want?" his doesn't even try to mask his anger.

"Well, I want to help. I'm tired of being on their side. I want to join you." he says.

Harry laughs. "Join me?"

Ashton gulps, and I find myself shaking with fear in what will happen. "Yes."

"You are fucking insane." he laughs, pointing at Ashton, then he looks at me. "What did you tell her?" his tone becoming serious. I gulp.

Ashton shrugs, "Not much. I showed her a vision."

Harry looks furious, "Of?"

"The future. The past." and suddenly I remember Harry being shot in the chest, the aching pain following behind the horrific vision. Harry scoffed.

"You can't just fucking do that!" he took a step closer towards Ashton amd I found myself standing between them, pushing Harry back. He looked down at me, his eyes softening a bit.

"Please, stop. Please." I whispered. He nodded, stepping back. I'm glad he listened, it isn't like Harry to take orders from someone. Especially me.

"What did he say to you?" his eyes remain on Ashton. I cough.

"Nothing important. All he said was I had great powers, and that people needed those powers? What does he mean, Harry?" he's now looking at me.

He huffs, "It's nothing. You're just a.. a key."
