April's POV

"So let me get this straight. Thanos, the big purple space grape, wants to collect all the infinity stones onto this gauntlet. When he has all of them, he has all the power in the universe. He is determined to balance it by killing half of all life, and he can do it with the snap of his fingers if he gets the stones?" I ask to make sure I understood everything Bruce told me.

"Exactly. He already has two and it won't be long before he or his minions come back to get Mind and Time stone. Tony, Spider-Man, and Dr. Strange are on one of the ships, so we can't count on their help," Bruce says.

"So we're down three men, while an alien attacks the earth. That's nice," Sam says, sarcasm pooling out with his words.

"Just because we beat them once doesn't mean they're going to give up," Steve says.

"So we gotta assume they're coming back, right?" Rhodes asked.

"And they can clearly find us," Wanda says, still looking a little shaken from the previous attack.

"Sam's right. We need all hands on deck. Where's Clint?" Bruce asked scanning the room.

I actually have no idea. That's a really good question, Bruce.

"After the whole Accords situation, he and Scott took a deal," Nat explains and my memories return.

I forgot about how everything ended after Germany.

"It was too tough on their families. They're on house arrest," Nat finishes.

Will that happen to me? We Steve and I have to change how we live, what we do?

This is why I'm terrified.

"Who's Scott?" Banner asks.

"Ant-man," Steve elaborates.

Bruce looks absolutely shocked, "There's an Ant-Man and a Spider-Man?"

I look over at Rhodes and he just rolls his eyes. It makes me laugh, helping lighten my mood.

"Okay, can we get back to dying please?" I ask trying to stay on topic.

I'm starting to feel a little nauseous, so I sit down. Stevie looks over at me and gives me a worried look. I wave him off, telling him I'm fine. I can feel Natasha's eyes glaring at me. She hates that I haven't told him yet.

"Okay look," Bruce says grabbing my attention, "Thanos has the biggest army in the universe, and he is not gonna stop until he," he pauses and looks down at his feet.

"Until he what?" I ask.

You can't just leave me on a cliffhanger, man. Not cool.

"Until he gets Visions stone."

Nat immediately steps up and tries to be a hero. For the amount of time that I have known her, I feel that's all she wants now. I can't exactly blame her after all these years of being an assassin.

"Then we have to protect it," she says in her noble voice.

Wow, she has a lot of different voices. Do I? I am for sure going to pay attention to that now. I wonder what voices I do have. I hope I have a badass intimating voice.

April! Stop it!

"No, we have to destroy it," Vision cuts in.

I'm sorry what?

Everyone in the room looks over at him with surprised eyes. I'm glad I'm not going crazy. He actually said he was going to destroy a part of him. Like honey, wouldn't you die?
