TThe Dragon is also the creature both Mal and Maleficient can turn into. Maybe Mal will once again transform? Or maybe Audrey will have gained a new ability?

Auradon and the Isle. Mirror images of each other. Ying and Yang, good and evil, light and dark. Two sides of the same coin (or in this case card) that will always be connected. Their destinies, pasts, and futures forever intertwined.
This movie is going to bring these two places closer together. The battle to protect both places will bring these people together in many ways. The rekindling of friendship, the birth of understanding, and the realization that despite the past and their differences the Isle and Auradon are one. Remember the Lion King II?

Kiara and Kovu realize the Outlanders and the Pridelanders are one in the same. They are both prides of lions looking to protect what they care about most and trying to survive. Just like the Isle and Auradon.
Like the exiled Outlanders, the people of the Isle just want a chance for freedom and to live a better life. Some thing the Pride Lands or Auradon, already has.
I believe this movie will make both sides realize, like Ben said, that fighting is not the answer and that they need to work together to achieve their goals. It may not be easy, but they need to be brave enough to try.
