Hailey's POV:
I felt my heart stop, but I was still alive. Keegan's speech had gotten to me, so much that I was crying internally. I wanted to open my eyes, move and wrap my arms around him. I wanted to tell him that everything would be just fine and we would be together forever. But I couldn't.
"We need to go, Keegan," Hesh murmured, softly after planting a kiss on my forehead.
Keegan didn't say anything for a while, but then slowly nodded, and sighed. "Alright."
Please, I need my five senses to come back on! Please!
Trying to squeeze my hand that was connected to Keegan's, I felt my hand move.
"Hailey?" Keegan stopped short.
"She's dead," Hesh whispered.
"No," Keegan whispered. "She just squeezed my hand. I swear."
Hesh didn't say anything after, but I felt him grab one of my cold hands and squeeze it tightly.
"I don't want to lose someone I love again," Hesh whispered. "So Hailey, if you're alive, please come back to us."
"Sir," a doctor poked her head in. "She's gone."
The air in the room seemed to get lighter. Keegan and Hesh both let out a breath before releasing my hands. I heard Hesh leave quickly, as if he couldn't stand to accept that I was dead and be in the same room as me. Keegan seemed to pause when he let go of my hand.
"Goodbye my love," Keegan pressed his rather cold lips to me.
In the time that I had been with Keegan, his lips were never cold. Merrick had once told me that Keegan had been cold after his fiance died, but after he saw me he became warm again. Was I just like everyone else Keegan had lost in his life? Was he going to be cold for the rest of his life because I couldn't open my eyes?
Quicker than Hesh had left, Keegan seemed to fly across the room silently and leave. I felt my whole body jerk. My eyes burst open and I started crying from Keegan's speech earlier.
The reason why your heart stopped was because your body was adjusting to your powers.
When my mother said that in my head, I flipped the covers off me and ripped off every tube and needle connected to me. There was a wrap on my forearm in the center, but I didn't bother to take that off. The hospital clothes weren't on me, surprisingly. I was still dressed in my clothes that I would wear around the base. How?
Your father made sure you could be in your clothes, Hailey. Go find them now.
I didn't need to hear it twice. Taking off at a walk out the door, I practically ran into a nurse. When she saw me, her gaze became surprised and then she shook her head. Walking past her quickly, I went the way I was having the most pull. Keegan and Hesh were probably in the control room talking to some sort of person that dealt with deaths of a soldier or they were in the armory getting ready to give Hell to Rorke.
"First we should get the right flowers for Hailey," Hesh turned to face Keegan who looked at the ground.
The two men were actually outside in a courtyard.
"Her favorites were Lilies. White and pink. If you can't find them, then pink roses with a red outline were also her favorite," Keegan slowly and quietly.
I didn't realize how much he knew about me- or how much I knew about him.
When Hesh was led away by the man to discuss a coffin, Keegan sunk down into the grass. I saw a tear fall down his cheek and I crept closer behind him.
"Hailey, why did you have to go?" Keegan sniffled.
"I've never seen a guy cry over me before," I said aloud.
Covering my mouth as Keegan slowly turned around, I smiled. His icy, cold blue eyes turned into something that was a flame.
"H-Hailey?" Keegan asked.
"It's me, you're not hallucinating. I promise," I said.
Before he could say anything, I ran to him and sat on his lap with each leg on one side of him.
"How?"
"It's a long story," I whispered. "But I'm here now, forever."
Tucking my hair behind my ear, Keegan only smiled and actually showed his teeth. Tears were coming down his face and he opened his mouth to say something.
"Sh," I put my finger on his mouth. "You don't have to say anything."
Before I could say anything else, Keegan pressed his lips to mine gently. His tears dripped onto my shirt, but I didn't care. The kiss became rougher as I put my arms around his neck and stroked his hair. As we started making little dances with our tongues, I heard footsteps.
"Hailey?" Hesh asked.
Pulling away from, Keegan, I smiled and slid off of Keegan's lap. Stretching my arms out, I only saw a flash of black and then Hesh was in my arms hugging me tightly.
"You're alive," Hesh whispered.
"You two are like babies," I said as I pulled away from him and glanced at Keegan, who was still staring at me in amazement. "I couldn't leave you."
"Whatever!" Hesh said as we all got up.
Keegan only grabbed my hand tenderly and never let go of it. "What's going to happen now?"
Looking around at the new base, I only narrowed my eyes.
Logan.
My mother's words rang out in my head.
"We need to go get Logan," I said quietly.
Hesh and Keegan only looked at each other.

Okay, that's interesting....if you take the end of this chapter when it ends after "each other." There is EXACTLY 911 words. Kinda funny. Cause 911 is the number for an emergancy. Get it? Oh nevermind!
Sorry for such a long wait for a chapter. :( School has officially started so I've been busy. My new idea is to publish a chapter once a week if I have time. :)
My challenge is slowly being met. Like wow, you guys are amazing. If I get all chapters over a hundred, then I'll be happy and you won't ever get enough thank yous from me! XD
There may be another update tomorrow if I decide to work hard and be nice. For now, I must go and work on homework. (I hate weekend stuff right at the beginning! But it's easy, so....yeah)
By the way, listen to the song during the whole chapter if you can. It kinda fits in with the whole thing. :)
The last chapter was long so I didn't make this one quite as long, so you didn't have to read so much today. Plus my fingers hurt from typing! I wrote the last chapter all last night and a little this morning and then this in an hour this morning too.
I hope you guys like where this is going and what happened the last two chapters or so. Can you please, cause you're so amazing, leave me feedback in the comments in this chapter? I need some motivation here! :D
Plus, I forgot to say that I made a new cover. Like it? Yay or nay?
