Little Moments

Your P.O.V

I was sitting in my hut and I was currently eight and a half months pregnant. I hadn't been working but I'll sit in the kitchen some days and just chat with Frypan till Newt gets done with his work. I was rearranging things in my mind looking around the hut trying to figure out how I wanted to put things and how I would store things.

I got up and walked over to my book shelf and grabbed a book sitting down to read it. I set one of my hands down on my stomach and rubbed it while the other one held the book. The book was on how to take care of the baby which was just what I needed.

I looked at the pages that told me about what a baby's room should have and how it should be set up so the baby was safe and comfortable. I looked at the pictures and saw what some of the rooms looked like. I got thinking if the world outside of the Maze still looked like this.

I put the book down and walked over to a box that had a bunch of baby stuff in it that they had sent up with the note saying how there wouldn't be anything else. I pulled out a blanket and put it in the baby cradle that the builders had made for us. I put the blanket down and then rolled the others up and put it around the sides.

The door opened and in game Newt and Gally. I smiled "Hey boys, what can I do for ya?" Newt walked over and gave me a kiss on the head. "Gally here is going to take measurements and then the builders are going to put another room on the hut." He said. I smiled and walked over to hug Gally which he returned. "Thank you Gally. This means a lot to us."

"No problem Y/N." He walked away outside and took measurements on the hut then went back to the builders and laid out the measurements. Newt came over and hugged me from behind. "So how was your day love?" He said kissing the side of my face. I smiled "It was good. I read and just laid down most of the day. We're getting closer to the due date and meeting this little bundle of joy!"

He smiled and rested his hands on my stomach. "I can't wait to meet them love. We're going to be amazing parents. I can't believe it's been eight and a half months since we found out that we were going to be blessed with this angel." He leaned down and kissed my stomach. I smiled and this little intamite moment that we what just shared. It was these types of memories and moments that I lived for everyday. Newt was going to be a great dad and I couldn't be more thrilled to see where life would take us after having this baby.

We got dressed for bed and laid down.  Newt rapped an arm around me and I laid my head on his chest and closed my eyes. He kissed my head and I smiled. "Good night my love. Sleep well and good dreams." "Good night Newt. I love you." "Love you to Y/N." I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

*Next morning*

I woke up and Newt wasn't there. I got up and dressed and went out side. The boys were all working on the other part of the hut. I walked up and sat and watched them. Frypan brought me and the others some food so we all sat down and ate. We talked and laughed about the little things going on. Gally and Newt cracked jokes while Thomas and Chuck did silly dance moves and Minho was just being his plane old sassy self. These were the parts of the day that I live for. These little moments in life are what make us who we are. They gave me a since of longing, friendship, family and the most important thing, it gave me love.

I sat out and watched them work after they finished lunch. They cut a hole in are wall and put the add on's together.  I couldn't wait for this to be the nursery and be the way I had been dreaming.
