Chapter 23

ROSA POV

We moved ourselves into the house so we weren't in the cold anymore. We were all in the living room with me sitting next to Zion. Which didn't last as I was moved on to his lap a second later. Which resulted in a look from papa and mama.

"Ok well first off um I would l-like to introduce everyone. So papa, mama this is Andrea, Darius, and Zion. Guys this is my Papa Hunter and my Mama Tea." They greet each other until papas eyes lock with Zions. I shift off Zi-Zi's lap as Papa stands leading Zion also standing.

Papa has his arms crossed with an emotionless face. Zion leaves his by his side as they both try to intimidate the other. I was anxious since him and Zion haven't said anything until now only giving each other looks.

"You got more ugly with age I see, old man."

"You got more cocky with all that crap coming out your mouth I see, little kid." I was shocked along with everyone else in the room. What shocked us even more was when they broke their facades and bro hugged each other cracking jokes.

"I'm sorry, what!" I exclaimed confused beyond words as to what is going on. They turn to the rest of us with light chuckles.

"How do you guys know each other, exactly?" Mama asks while the two go back to their seats.

"Long story short this was the kid who would always help with farming back when I was 23 or 24. Remember that kid who used to sling shot the chicken eggs at unwanted cars in the fields at night?" Papa asked to make mama remember Zion. Mama gasped and turned to Zion in disbelief while he gives a small nod of his head.

"Oh my gosh little Z-boy is that you!? Oh look how grown you've become!" I snort and look away to see Andrea and Darius holding in their own laughs.

"It's me lady Tea" He grimaced at his nickname from her. We go in to talking more about how they know each and they get to know Andrea and Darius more.

Time Skip

"I'm so glad you're back home my little opihi (o-p-he)  Thank you Zion for bringing her back home. It was good seeing you bud." Papa said as it was getting late he thought that I was staying. Which brings us to the conversation that I was not looking forward to.

"Actually um I'm not staying. This was just a visit." Gesturing around while glancing at everyone. Papa and Mamas expressions dropped and it hurt to see them hurt.

"I-I'm sorry t-that I can't stay longer, but I promise t-to visit as much as I can."

"You told her didn't you?"

"Yes, yes I did"

"You guys knew!"

"Of course we did why do think we told you to stay away from the Darkshadow Forest." Mama said while papa shakes his head.

"What else did you tell her? Hmm?"

"That we're mates." Papa stands and looks to me.

"It's ok Papa I am slowly accepting it don't worry I know what I'm doing mama, papa." Mama stands seeing the time and tension that followed my statement and placed a hand on papas shoulder .

"Why don't we all just talk more in the morning um there are only two guest bedrooms girls are with girls and boys with boys okay?" Zion goes to disagree until Mama gives a look and he closes his mouth.

"Great now everyone follow Rosa to the rooms, don't worry there across the hall from each other. With spare clothes to change into. Come on old man I'm tired." She says pulling Papa upstairs with her after kissing my forehead and saying goodnight.

I led them to the rooms with Zion carrying me actually while I gave the directions. I said a shy goodnight to Zion and left to the room Andrea went to the bathroom to shower. While waiting to go next the door to the room opens and Zion comes in.

"Zi-Zi you're not supposed to-" I felt his warm lips cover mines in a kiss that happily returned. Pulling away I found myself in his arms with my legs around his waist.

"Oh" He kisses my forehead lingering for awhile before gently setting me down.

"Goodnight my Queen." We we're in the hallway now as he opened his door again.

"Goodnight Zi-Zi" Blushing before rushing back inside closing the door. I heard a somewhat growl mixed with a purr.

"Aww that was cute"

"Oh my gosh Andrea you scared me" Leaning on the wall with a hand to my chest.

"Hmm Zion wasn't the only one that got your heart raising tonight ha." She snickers

"Oh shush" Limping off to the bathroom with a burning face. The morning should be fun...maybe.

Hey Fam!

Sooo how's it been? *chuckles nervously while hiding behind the couch*

Before you ambush me let me explain why I was so absent and had the book on hold.✋🏽

Ok so in my absence I wasn't feeling so up for this book. I wasn't really inspired to write this anymore. Which brought me close to ALMOST giving up, but today I looked at it. It was calling to me you know? Anyways I'm back and my goal is to finish this book before New Years which is in 3 months. So that's means either an update per week or two updates every two weeks. (No promises) Now remember I don't exactly have a map out for this book I just started it without much detail into it.

But anyways hope y'all have a blessed September 1st🙏🏽
