Ko's Third Person P.O.V.

Ko's feet stomped through puddles of rain, the water soaking through his shoe and socks. The rain was coming down in torrents, mercilessly drenching the albino. Where had Hajime gone? He hadn't even bothered to take an umbrella and he had short sleeves on! Who wears short sleeves in the rain? Hajime was obviously going to catch a major cold if Ko didn't find him before something terrible happened.

It was his fault that Hajime had left anyway. If only he hadn't told the brunette the truth, then none of this would have happened. Suddenly, his lungs constricted as if a large cobra had wrapped itself around his windpipe. He began coughing violently, bending over and clutching his stomach to help ease the pain.

A sweet taste filled his mouth as he threw up on the road.

White petals floated away in the stream of water that led to the drain. Ko picked one up before it could escape and examined it.

His breathing staggered as the realization struck him like a truck.

White petals. Not white rose petals, but jasmine.

The Hanahaki disease was back.

But... how?

Ko's eyes dulled when he remembered the words that carved a hole in his heart.

"I hate you." Hajime's voice echoed in Ko's mind. Even though Hajime hated him, Ko still loved the brunette with all of his heart, and that was probably the reason why the disease had returned.

His time in this world was shorter than he had expected. But if it was for Hajime, this piece of trash would gladly die for him. He had to act fast.

"HAJIME! HAJIME WHERE ARE YOU!?" The albino bellowed through the quickening rain. Despite his compressed lungs, Ko still continued to run. "HAJIME!" He yelled desperately.

A flash of fear crossed through Ko's mind, but it wasn't his own. It was the brunette's.

"HAJIME?!" Ko looked left and right, trying to spot any signs of brown through the sheets of crystal rain.

All of a sudden, a large bolt of pain spread through his chest, knocking him back a few steps and into a puddle of water. The white-haired boy balled his hands into fists while biting his lower lip. It eased a bit and Ko thought it was over until another spasm of pain seized him, this time on his back and left side of his body. He gasped in surprise, his eyes widening.

The only thing the albino could think of while he was suffering was the brunette. Something terribly wrong had crossed paths with him. Judging by the amount of force that had slammed into Hajime's body, Ko could only guess that it was a moving object. Perhaps a car.

Ignoring the excruciating pain, Ko stood upwards, forcing his legs to move.

"HAJIME!" He yelled once again.

His mind was so engrossed with the thought of the boy he loved dead that he didn't notice a figure running into him. Irritation took hold of his mind until he couldn't think straight anymore.

"What the heck is your problem?!" He spat. "Can't you see I'm in a hurry?!"

The figure was wearing a cloak, his face buried beneath the shade of his hood.

It spoke in a raspy breath, taking Ko by surprise.

"You have to save him. You have to. I can't watch him die again." The cloaked figure grabbed Ko's shoulder and shook him violently. "I'M BEGGING YOU! SAVE HIM! DO WHAT I COULDN'T DO!" It sobbed, tears streaming down its shadowed face.

"What the heck are you talking about?! Let go of me!" Ko shoved the figure off of him. "Don't touch me!"

"Please..." The figure sobbed more violently, attaching himself to Ko's leg.

Ko had had enough of this person. He didn't care if the figure was female or male, innocent or guilty. He needed to get to Hajime before it was too late.

"I said," Ko took out a knife, "Let go of me!"

He brought the gleaming blade down on the figure's leg. The cloaked person gasped in pain, clutching his leg in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

Ko watched the blood pour out of their leg, strangely satisfied with what he had done. The blood dripped down their leg and mixed with the puddle beneath it, the water turning a faint red color. Insanity seized the albino, causing him to laugh like a madman.

"Aha... AHAHAHAAHA! SUCH A BEAUTIFUL COLOR!" He threw back his head, his hair sticking to his face due to the rain.

Nonononononono. What was happening to him? Ko struggled to hold on to his last remaining piece of sanity.

He had to save Hajime. He was what kept the albino going. Ko couldn't fall into Despair again. Not when he had more important matters to attend to. He stepped on the figure's stomach, pinning them to the ground.

"If you dare stop me again, I won't hesitate to kill you." He threatened with a sadistic smile plastered on his face. "Now if you'd excuse me..."

The albino turned away from the injured person and continued on his way to find the boy he loved.

There was one problem though. Supposing a car had hit the brunette, where would he be right now? There were countless amounts of streets in this city. Which one could it be? Ko didn't have time to check every single one.

Chest heaving and hair soaked with rain, the albino pushed himself on although his legs were screaming at him to stop and take a break. There would be no breaks. Hajime could be dying for all he knew.

Just as he thought he saw a blob of brown on the road in front of him, a black car pulled up next to him.

What the heck? Another kidnapping?

Ko prepared his knives as the door of the van slid open, revealing... nothing? If there was nothing in the moving vehicle, why park it here? Unless....

Before he could pull a three-sixty, a dark bag was pulled over his head, blocking his vision. His weapons clattered uselessly on the ground when a needle was inserted into his pale neck. His eyes closed as the drug kicked into his bloodstream, nullifying his senses and restricting his movements.

Oh no... Not again...
