THE DARKNESS SWIRLED AROUND HER CURLED FORM ON THE FOREST FLOOR tendrils of inkling bleak reminders of her solitude. The silence echoing in her ears was the constant white noise that never shut up. Her head swam in the fire burning inside, the only smouldering embers of a time where there had been other presences with her, around her, in her. But now, the void had been slowly filled with a cold, howling storm of fear that refused to ever let up.

She was completely and utterly alone in her mind, body, soul, and most of all, entirely alone in the world.

It had been a few days since her departure from her deceased family and the blonde had already convinced herself that she had no time to mourn just to survive.

Her mind, her soul and her entire being was empty. No longer feeling.

It was like a void. A dark void. A never ending dark void that consumes everything, so your left feeling nothing. Empty. Nothing to subside your hollow soul that creeps in the shadows, away from any other human life because it's emptiness is so consuming it cannot bare to pretend that everything is okay.

So she didn't.

Her boots crunched on the dead leaves carpeting the ground, their many colours, a true mosaic. The richness of the damp forest floor made all more glorious.

Her pale hands clenched her dagger strongly as her eyes followed movement in the green foliage. Her dagger flew towards it's target only for her to hear a loud scream.

Curiously the girl moved towards the dense foliage only to see a young boy, not more than her age. His dark face contorted in pain as he hand struggled to reach the dagger in his leg.

Grunting the girl struggled to carry the larger boy to the cave she had chosen to reside in. Her hand removing the embedded dagger and immediately replacing it with a bunch of leaves she had found.

The boy studied her Her face wasn't anything extraordinary or significant, and yet, he felt somehow magically draw to those serious and silent features. Though she always avoided his gaze, he couldn't help but notice her clean skin, along with her messy hairstyle.. Perhaps many would consider her homely, but he found her awe-striking.

The boy cleared his throat loudly bringing her attention to him "Hey there Cinderella, I'm Couver and I'd like to be your Prince Charming"

The girl stared at him blankly before the edges of her mouth twitches and she gave him gave him a genuinely sweet smile with just the right touch of shyness that unexpected warmth rushes through Couver "Nice to meet you Couver, I'm Gracie!"
