Michael's  POV

I watched as she threw herself over the edge, and immediately Luke and I dove for her. Our bodies were fully on the ground, but my right and his left arm had shot towards the beautiful girl who broke.

I broke her.

We had caught her wrist, but only because I think she wanted us to save her. I made this happen, it's my fault.

"Baby, reach your other hand up." Luke coaxed, and May reluctantly did. We hauled her up, and pulled her away from the cliff before engulfing her in a hug. Rain began to pour as she cried endlessly, chanting: "I don't want to die, don't let me die."

And Luke said: "I won't let you die, I won't let you." And kissed her head. I buried my face into her  cold neck, pushing her wet hair out if the way with my nose.

"I'm sorry." I whispered. "So, so sorry." She said nothing. I watched as Luke pulled away for a second, taking off his sweatshirt and slipping in on to her, tugging the hood over her head.

"Michael, we need to get her out of this rain." He commanded. I nodded and lifted her up, wrapping one arm underneath her and the other cradling her head. She still sobbed. May layer one arm around my neck, and the other extended towards Luke, who was walking behind us. He grabbed her hand, planted a quick kiss on it but releasing her hand.

She nuzzled her nose into my neck, and I could feel her ragged breathing. The walk back to the house was short, unlike before, when it seemed too long to bare.

We made it home, and Luke opened the door for us, only to be greeted by Calum and Ashton yelling at someone. It was Sam. They were in the kitchen, and I placed May down one the couch, where Luke slid himself next to her, and she cuddled into his side, still crying.

"I'm here. I'm here." He said multiple times, which calmed her down immensely. I, on the other hand, was fuming. I walked into the kitchen, seeing Sam and Jake yellignat Ashton and Calum, and Ashton and Calum doing th same to them. As soon as my eyes landed on Sam, I felt anger surge throughout my entire body. My fists clenched, and before I knew it I punched Sam in the jaw, and Calum had to hold me back before I did anything more.

"Come to this house or anywhere near May, I will personally end you." I growled, and they ran out of the house. I jerked myself from Calum, taking a blanket and going to May, who gladly accepted it.

"Are you okay?" I asked. Stupid Michael, of course she's not Okay! But she nodded. "Don't lie to me. Please tell me what you're feeling." Now Ashton and Calum were crouched infront of her.

"I-I feel regret. And sorrow."

"Why?"

"Because I'm just a hassle. I feel regret for existing, and sorrow for troubling you all."

"Don't you dare feel that. You are not a hassle. And we coudln't be happier that you exist, and we all have times when when we feel like that. We know. Please don't feel like that." Luke begged. Holding her tighter.

"I'm sorry. So, so sorry." I said, tears collecting in my eyes. She looked at me sympathetically.

"I forgive you." I reached for her, pulling her into my arms and rocking back and forth as we cried.

"Thank you, Thank you so much." I cried, and she did the same. Soon we were all on the floor, sobbing and hugging and kissing her head.

"I love you." I said, and she gazed up at me.

"I love you too." And then I knew that I'm never letting this girl go again.
