Scarlett could hear the arguing meters away from the tent. She sighed. Why oh why had she ever thought that bringing total strangers back to the camp was a good idea? Not only was her loyalty being questioned by the other generals but Diana was also unconscious, too drained from healing the dying soldier to wake up any time soon. Hearing the voices get progressively louder, Scarlett quickened her pace in hopes of stemming the argument before it disrupted training. Already, many of the soldiers were looking at the tent instead of paying attention to their captain.

"I will not lay back down until you allow me to see the person in charge."

"But sir, please allow us to at least help you recover..."

"NO!!!"

"What is going on in here?" Scarlett yelled as she entered the tent. Taking in the standing man with light brown almost blonde hair and startling green eyes who was griping onto the cot with a stubborn expression and the flushed face of the nurse, she repeated the question, "I said what is going on?!?"

"Sorry m'am, but this patient refuses to receive treatment and very soon he's going to undo all of the work that General Lily did for him to save his knee."

"Okay," she said glaring at the stubborn man, who was still standing despite his healing knee "Sit down on that bed and talk to me. I believe that I am capable of answering your questions."

"And how am I supposed to know that?"

"Fine. You want proof? I am Scarlett, one of the generals in this army. High enough ranking for you?"

He glared back at her with equal heat and started swaying. Scarlett quickly pushed him onto the bed, held down his wrists and mentioned to the nurse to bring Lily.

"Let go of me woman!"

"Darling," she said sarcastically "I'm just making sure you don't run away before Lily gets here. Why did you want to talk to me anyway?"

"Where are we? Why am I here? Where are the other two men that were with me? How long have I been here?"

"Slow down. You're here because I discovered you in the woods unconscious along with your other two friends. Both of your friends are alright, one required extensive healing so we moved him to a different tent. The other one is still unconscious a few beds over, I'm surprised you haven't woken him up yet. You've been here for about a day. And who are you and why were you in that clearing?"

"Oh... My name is Samuel and we were following orders."

Scarlett's eyes narrowed. "Orders... from who?"

"Afraid I can't tell you that until my friends wake up and I'm sure they weren't harmed."

Stubborn man Scarlett thought. "Alright, now that I've answered your questions can you please allow Lily and the nurse to help you?"

"Fine woman. Now could you please get off of me before someone comes in and thinks we're doing the nasty?" Samuel asked raising his eyebrows.

Springing away from him as if she had been burned, Scarlett started to walk away.

"Wait one more question."

Annoyed now, Scarlett turned around.

"How did they manage to heal my knee so quickly? I've seen lesser injures take a much longer time to heal."

"That's for me to know and you to find out."

Lily strode out of the tent wincing. She had to knock out the one that was awake, supposedly his name was Samuel, to attend to his knee. The generals had all agreed to keep everyone's gift a secret so in order to treat him, she had to knock him out. The other one was still asleep, unsurprising due to the amount of blood he lost. Lily made sure someone checked on Diana and the soldier she saved, they were both still peacefully slumbering.

"Hey Lily!"

"Yes Scar?"

"Want to go train?"

"Sure."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Samuel woke up with an aching head. The loud clashing outside definitely wasn't helping the pounding. He groaned, hoping that someone would make the loud noises stop so he could sleep. Wait he thought, hold up. I was talking to that general Scarlett and then some girl came inside afterwards and freaking knocked me out! What the heck!!!
"Samuel, stop talking to yourself. It's the first sign of insanity you know."
Samuel glared at Micah. "Shuttup Micah. You didn't wake up, get questioned by a scary women, and then get knocked out by another women."
"Well, you want to stop groaning and get out of bed so we can figure out where we are? That would certainly be more productive then complaining about a headache."
Samuel sighed and got up, knowing that Micah was right. As he swung his legs over the cot, he expected to feel some slight pain in his knees as he stood up. Samuel gasped as he looked at his knees. No bandages, no ointments, just his bare knee that looked way too normal for about a day of healing. He remembered passing out after the battle from the pain in his knee. On his left side, Samuel could hear Micah discovering the same thing.
"Who are these people? All of my wounds on my torso are gone. How long have we been here again?" Micah muttered.
"Supposedly, we've been here for about a day. I don't know who exactly these people are, but I think we need to find out."
Diana felt herself slowly waking from her deep sleep. She was again called to duty. Unwillingly she opened her eyes. A loud crashing noise made its way past the thick fabric and she could tell that Scar and Lily were practicing again. Can't let them have all the fun, she mused, might as well join them. As Diana slowly pushed herself upright, she caught a glimpse of the man she saved still sleeping. His face was peaceful and a lock of brown hair covered part of his face, but she sensed an inner turmoil under the peace. The clashing sounded again, more insistent this time, and Diana grinned. Time to go surprise some people.
I tried to make this one longer :) Please leave comments for me to improve my writing.
