Zeke woke up to a feeling of alarm. Something wasn't right. The surroundings were too quiet, only the birds were singing; all the normal morning activities that should've been going on were noticeably absent. He slowly opened his eyes. Micah and Samuel were still sleeping, Samuel with his mouth wide open and snoring. Zeke smirked, good to know that his friend's sleeping habits would never change. They had assigned themselves three shifts to keep watch, but the shifts had ended at sunrise. The last person to be awake was Micah. So perhaps he would know what was going on? Zeke softly crept over to Micah's cot and gently shook him awake.
"What?" Micah groaned irritably.
"Do you know what happened? Something's not right," Zeke whispered in a soft voice.
Now fully awake, Micah shook his head. "Nothing out of the ordinary happened while I was on watch. The sounds of the camp stayed exactly the same throughout."
Now extremely concerned, Zeke woke Samuel. "What the hell did you wake me up for?" Samuel asked irritably.
"Hush. Something's wrong."
"And what do you want to do about it? If you don't remember, let me enlighten you. We have no weapons and are way outnumbered. So let me ask again. What do you plan to do?"
"Will you two shut up?" Micah asked angrily. "Someone's coming."

Scar grinned as she bounced in excitement toward the men's tent. This was going to be so much fun. She was finally going to be able to fight someone who wasn't Lily or Diana. "Good morning," she chirped as she entered the tent. Scarlett didn't expect to be confronted by three pairs of annoyed eyes. "What?"
"Why are you so happy so early in the morning?" Samuel snapped.
"Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today," Scar snipped back.
"Could you please tell us what is going on?" Zeke asked.
"Well, I'm taking you to go eat breakfast and then Diana will inform you about what is going to happen next." The grin she sent them made all three men gulp and quietly follow her out into the sunlight.

"Are we clear on what I would like you to do while I'm busy?" Diana asked annoyed. She had been in this tent for hours and she really wanted to eat some breakfast and warm up before fighting.
"Yes Diana we understand. For clarification, you would like for us to continue to keep our powers under wrap until you have discerned their trustworthiness correct?" Val asked.
"Yes. Now if we're done with this meeting, Val, Jay, Lily and Marci we're leaving." With that, Diana walked out of the tent leaving the flap swinging wildly behind her. The other four exchanged looks with each other, then at the rest of the generals before following Diana out.
