Merida's pov:
Once the bell rang for next period, I grabbed my stuff and walked out of Ms. Gothel's room. Little did I know that Hiccup was waiting by the door for me. He ran to me and we began to talk to each other and even finishing each other sentences.
Merida: "I don't..."
Hiccup: "believe it!"
Merida: "Me..."
Hiccup: "either! How are you here?!"
Merida: "My mom's company transferred her here to Berk. I can't believe you live here. I went to look for you in the main lodge, but you weren't there."
Hiccup (whispering): "We had to leave first thing."
Merida: "Why are you whispering?"
Hiccup: "Oh, uh, m-my friends know about the snowboarding. Um, I haven't quite told them about the "singing"...thing."
Merida: "Too much for them to handle?"
Hiccup: Oh, no, it was cool. But, you know, my friends...it's, uh, not what I do. That was like a--a different person. You--" (follows Merida around the corner) "So, uh, anyway, welcome to East High. Oh, and now that you've met Ms. Gothel, I bet you just can't wait to sign up for that." (points to the sign-up for the winter musical).
Merida: "I won't be signing up for anything for a while. I just want to know the school. But if you sign up, I'd consider coming to the show."
Hiccup: "Yeah, yeah, that's completely impossible." (sarcastically)
Suddenly, Astrid came out from behind the sign-up booth "What's impossible Hiccup? I wouldn't think impossible is even in your vocabulary." she said, coldly. She turns to me with a look of disgust "So nice of you to show our new classmate around." complained Astrid. She turned back to the sign-up sheet for the Winter Musical and wrote her name (in the pairs sign-up), her handwriting was so big that it took up almost the whole space. She turns back to us and said in a harsh/sweet voice "Oh! Were you going to sign up, too? My brother and I have starred in all the school's productions and we really welcome newcomers. There are a lot of supporting roles in the show. I'm sure we can find something for you." I quickly shake my head no and told that we were only looking at the activities going on 'There's a lot of stuff going on at this school' I thought. I quickly complementing her writing and left for my next class.
Hiccup's pov:
I watched Merida walk to her next class and I was left to deal with Astrid, she has a huge crush on me and I really don't like her. I tried to leave but Astrid grabbed my arm and pulled me towards her. "So, Hiccup, I missed you during vacation. What'd you do?" she asked me in a sweet tone. "Oh, you know, um, practicing my riding skills, snowboarding, more riding." I quickly answered.
Astrid: "When's the big game?"
Hiccup: "Um, two weeks."
Astrid: "You are so dedicated. Just like me. (Flirted). I hope you'll come watch me in the musical. Promise?"
I nodded yes and slowly walked away from her "See ya!" she shouted. I just waved her and head to racing practice.
(Time skip:)
Jack and I were hooking our saddles on our dragons while the rest of the team was doing practice laps around the arena. I looked over to Jack and talked to him about the musical while grabbing the rest of my gear.
Hiccup: "So, Jack, you know that school musical thing? Um, is it true you get extra credit just for auditioning?"
Jack: "Who cares?"
