Merida's pov:
I still can't believe that I did that to Astrid, so much of trying to make a good impression. I sat with Elsa and trying not to be seen by Astrid "You think Astrid's still mad. I said I was sorry." I told Elsa.
Elsa: "Look, no one has beaten out Astrid for a musical since kindergarten."
Merida: "Elsa, I wasn't trying t beat anyone out. Hiccup and I didn't even audition."
Elsa: "Well I hate to break it to you but you won't convince Astrid of that. I telling you, if that girl could figure out a way to play both Romeo and Juliet, her own brother would be aced out of a job."
Merida: "Like I told you, it just happened. But I liked it. A lot. Did you ever feel like there's this whole other person inside of you, just looking for a way to come out?"
Elsa: "Not really, no."
The bell rang for the next class as me and Elsa went our separate ways. I went to my locker to grab my stuff for my next class when a note falls out of my locker. It was from Hiccup, I wonder what he wrote.
Meet me on the rooftop view after school.
love, Hiccup
I literally hugged the note and sigh, I can't wait.
(Time Skip)
Hiccup's pov:
I snuck way from class once the bell rang, I made sure no one followed me as I waited for Merida to appear. I also brought my dragon Toothless so I could introduces him to her. A few minutes passed and I saw Merida come up the stairs. She looked pretty astound at the view of the school and the plants that made the balcony like a forest.
Merida: "Wow! It's like a forest up here."
Hiccup: "Yeah, just like that cafeteria."
Merida: "Well, I just humiliated myself straight into the next century."
Hiccup: "No, come on."
Merida: "So this is your private hideout?"
Hiccup: "Yeah. Thanks to the science club. Which means my friends don't even know it exists."
Merida: "You pretty much have the school wired, don't you Hiccup. Seems to me like everyone on campus wants to be your friend."
Hiccup: "Unless we lose."
Merida: "I'm sure it's tricky being the coach's son."
Hiccup: "Makes me practice a little harder, I guess. I don't even want to know what he'll do when he finds out about the singing."
Merida: "You worried?"
Hiccup: "My parent's friends are always saying, your son's the dragon king. You must be so...proud. Sometimes I don't want to be the dragon king. Just wanna be ordinary. You know?"
Merida: "I saw the way you treated Rapunzel at the audition yesterday. Do your friends know that guy?"
Hiccup: "To them, I'm the play maker."
Merida: "Then they don't know enough about you, Hiccup. At my other schools, I was the freaky archer girl. It's cool coming here and being...anyone I want to be. When I was seen with you, I just felt like a normal person."
Hiccup: "Yeah but your still the same girl I fell in love with during the new years party."
Merida: "Yeah, I felt the same way that day as well and during the audition."
Hiccup: "Well, I have someone I'd like you to meet."
Merida: "Who?"
Hiccup: "My dragon, Toothless."
Merida: "He's kinda cute. Why do you call him Toothless?"
Hiccup: "Because of his retractable teeth."
Merida: "So you really want to do the callbacks?"
Hiccup: "Hey, just call me...freaky callback boy."
Merida: (Laughs) "You're a cool guy, Hiccup. But not for the reasons your friends think. (punches his arm) That's for not helping me in the cafeteria. (then kisses his cheek) That's for the fun date. (Leaves).
I could feel the sparks in my heart fly after she kissed me. I couldn't help but smile, the next time I see her I'm gonna ask her to be my girlfriend. I saw Toothless coming towards me and giving me a gummy smile and a little chuckle "What are you looking at?" I snapped.
