"Anne? Anne wake up, I think there is something that you would like to see." Anne opened her eyes.
"What?" She asked.
"Look outside", Marilla said with a nice smile. Anne got up and went to the window.
"Oh, Marilla it's so beautiful!" She said with a dreamy look on her face. Snowqueen was all covered in white snow, and so was the rest of Green Gables. A rabbit sat in the deep snow, it really did look beautiful. Anne imagined herself as princess Cordelia in a long white dress. Her dark brown hair was all covered in snow as she walked in the enchanted forest. Far away she saw a prince. The most handsome prince she had ever seen. He got closer. She could see his face. Brown curls and hazel eyes. OH GOD! Anne woke up from her dreams. It was Gilbert Blythe. Who she didn't like. At all. NO.
As she walked through the forest on her way to school she dreamed about princess Cordelia in her snow castle, filled with beautiful creatures and loving friends. This time, there was no prince, but a handsome soldier. The soldier wasn't Gilbert, though their noses were quite similar.
"Well hello there, little dog." Anne woke up from her dreams. Billy was standing in front of her, blocking the road.
"Hello", Anne said.
"Don't think I'm going to be nice to you. I've been waiting for this. You and me alone where no one can hear you scream", Anne got really scared. She tried to move away, but Billy grabbed her arm. He grabbed it so hard that it hurt her.
"Let go of me!" Anne shouted.
"Oh no, not until I'm done with you", Billy said with a smirk. "So what should I do with you? Maybe break your arm just like I did with your little friend?" Anne was boiling with anger.
"Hey there!" She heard a familiar voice say. Gilbert came walking through the forest. Billy loosed his grip around her arm.
"Hey Gilbert", He said nervously.
"Would you please mind stepping away from Anne?" Gilbert asked. Billy stepped away slowly.
"Sure buddy", He said.
"I'm not your buddy, now leave!" And Billy left.
"Are you okay Anne?" Gilbert asked. Anne looked at him
"Stop helping me all the time! I'm perfectly good on my own!" She said and left Gilbert. He stood there in the snow with a sad expression on his face.
"You're welcome", he mumbled.

During the following days, Gilbert didn't speak to Anne at all. For the first three days Anne enjoyed it, but as time went on she really did feel like something was missing. Every day her and Gilbert had been at school together she had felt his warm gaze, but now, she didn't. She told both herself and Diana that she was happy about it, but they both knew she wasn't.
Two weeks after the incident with Billy, there was a spelling bee in school. Anne was hoping that Gilbert would say something, or at least look at her whilst. The competition was after lunch and when the bell rang, Anne was the first one to get inside. Miss Stacy entered the classroom.
"I hope that you are looking forward to today's spelling bee! And this time it's going to be a little different. You will not be competing boys against girls. I have made two groups that will compete against each other", Miss Stacy said with a smile. Anne let out a sigh. "When I read your name, please get up here and stand on the right side of the room. Charlie Slone, Jane Andrews, Priscilla Andrews, Tillie Boulter, Gilbert Blythe, Moody Spurgeon, Anne Shirley..." Anne got up. She got to the rest of her group before Moody which meant that she had to stand next to Gilbert. Their arms touched. She felt how her whole body got warm and a smile appeared on her face.
The spelling bee had gone on for twenty minutes and left were only Anne and Gilbert in their team, and one of the older boys named Martin in the other.
"Spell anxiety", Said Miss Spencer to Gilbert. "A-N-X-I-E-T-Y" Gilbert spelt it out.
"Correct, Martin, Spell persuade"
"P-E-R-S-U-A-D-E"
"Correct. Anne, spell Scrumptious"
"S-C-R-U-M-P-T-I-O-U-S"
"Correct! Martin, spell indict"
"I-N-D-I-T-E"
"I'm sorry Martin, but that is not correct, and we have a winning team!" Anne looked at Gilbert while receiving the applauds from her team.
"Would it be helping you if I thanked you for good teamwork?" He asked.
"No I don't think so..." Anne replied.
"Well then thank you Shirley", He said and Anne replied: "And thank you, Blythe." They both laughed. Anne felt so much better, and the butterflies in her stomach had woken up again.
The rest of the day she felt Gilbert's warm gaze again, everything was just like it was supposed to be.~~~
Ugh this chapter was no good, kinda rushed through it. Well well. 😘
