Chapter 8 Final Exams and The Stone

Hey guys! Author back again.

This one should be a long one, because it will cover to the end of the first book/movie. Should be fun. Hard to believe We're almost done with the first one. It feels nice to be getting something done. I know I've been needing to get back to the others, and I will, I just wanted to give this a shot.

So, recap.

Last time, we got in trouble for visiting Hagrid and had to serve detention with him. Got to spend some more time with Hermione and met a centaur. We also learned that He-who-shall-not-be-named is still around and is after Harry.

So, without further adieu, let's get to it!

Your POV...

I walk with my friends as we walk out of our last class for the semester.

"That wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be." I say.

"Easy for you to say." Ron says. "You and Hermione practically stayed up nights on end studying."

"Hey, we went to sleep eventually." I argue.

"Still, you two did study a lot." Harry adds.

"That is true." I say, rubbing the back of my neck.

Harry seems to get be thinking about something as we walk towards Hagrid's. He then starts walking faster toward Hagrid.

"Harry, what is it?" Hermione asks.

"Don't you think it's a bit odd that what Hagrid wants more than anything is a dragon, and a stranger shows up who just happens to have one? I mean, how many people just walk around with a dragon egg in their pocket? Why didn't I see it before?" Harry rants.

We get up to Hagrid and Harry starts off right away.

"Hagrid, who gave you the dragon egg?  What did he look like?" He asks.

"I don't know." Hagrid says. "Never saw his face. He kept his hood up."

He then says how he seemed to know a lot about magical creatures and how to get past Fluffy. He then told us how he corrected him and how if you play music for him, Fluffy will fall asleep. We all look at each other and start running back to the castle. We run into Professor McGonagall's class room and Harry says, "We have to see Professor Dumbledor. Immediately."

"I'm afraid Professor Dumbledor is here. He received an urgent owl from the Ministry of Magic and left immediately." She replies.

"He's gone?" Harry says in exasperation. "But this is important. It's about the Sorcerer's Stone."

Professor McGonagall looks at us in surprise. "How do you.."

"Someone is going to try and steal it professor." I say.

"I don't know how you four found out about that stone, but I assure you it is perfectly well protected." She eyes us. "Now, would you go back to your dormitories. Quietly."

We all turn and head for the door. We gather around outside of the door and Harry turns to us.

"What do we do now?" I ask.

"We have to go in tonight." Harry says. "We need to stop Snape from getting the stone."

"Agreed." I nod.

"Good afternoon." A cold voice comes from behind us.

We turn to see Professor Snape standing behind us. I look up at him and then back to the others.
