Chapter 17 The Wedding

Your POV...

My father fixes my bow tie one more time before he gets in line for the wedding. I'm the ring barer for my father and Christi's wedding. I'm a little nervous and excited for this moment. I'll finally have a mom again. I'm looking forward to my new life with Christi as my step-mother. My father goes out there and waits for Christi. I look through the crowd and look to see if everyone is there. I catch a glimpse of long brown hair and smile.

Today is the day of the wedding, obviously. I've been here for a few days with preparation. Everyone else just arrived today. I've been getting to know my new cousins all that time. But I have definitely been looking forward to seeing my friends again. I see a raven black hair as I scan the crowd and  even all the red headed Weasley's. I can't wait to talk to them. I watch as Christi walks out there and I follow soon after. They take the rings and I go and sit down. I manage to sit next to Hermione. She smiles at me and we watch the ceremony. As soon as it's over, my friends surround me.

"Hey Y/n." Harry says.

"Hey Harry. How have you been?"

"Pretty good. How about you?" Harry asks.

"It's been crazy." I smile. "The past few days have been just full of people going everywhere and practice after practice. The place we've been staying has a beautiful view though."

"Really? What's it like?" Ron asks.

"It's got this beautiful view of the valley that sits below it. It looks so good."

"That sound amazing." Hermione says.

I smile at her and she smiles back.

"Hey there Y/n." I hear from behind me.

I feel an arm on my shoulder and turn my head to see one of my cousins.

"Hey." I smile back at him.

"So, these are the three you've been telling me about huh?"

"Yeah." I turn to my friends. "Guys, this is my cousin, Andrew. Andrew, this is Harry, Ron, and Hermione." I introduce everyone.

"Pleasure to meet ya." He smiles. "I've been hearing all about your adventures form this guy."

He ruffles my hair a bit and grins.

"Andrew, come over and help me with this table." We hear someone say.

"Oope. I've gonna run. I'll catch you guys at the after party." He drums on the chair before jogging off. "Comin' Mom."

"That's your cousin?" Hermione asks.

"Yeah. He's from Christi's side of the family. He's pretty cool."

"Where is the after party?" Ron asks.

I smile and look at my friends. "We are going to a water park. Hope you brought your swim gear."

I get to ride with my friends to the water park, we catch up on what we've all been doing since the end of the year. Once we get to the place, we split up to change. After we are all done, I head out with Harry and Ron to the pool side. I lay down my towel and stand by the pool, testing the water a little.
