Chapter 12: The Healing Mishap

 It's been a week since Katherine came as a part of the oh-so-important finals. We didn't really take it too seriously, after all we are the top students right? Well we spent a decent amount of time looking over learned topics and also a decent amount of time relaxing. As we hung out more and more, we broke off into little groups within our group. We would hang out all together, alternating with Kristen and Brendan while I went with Nathan; also incorporating the same sexes together. We had numerous ways of relaxing together, and we'd have it no different. Though we've been hanging out two-on-two more, it doesn't push any of us away from one another. 
      
Katherine's POV:
      I see them everywhere, and no matter where they are always in twos. This irritated me of course, there was no opening for me to win back my Brendan. As the days slowly passed, I realized that they became friendlier with one another, though I didn't really care for the other members, I focused on Brendan. I don't mean as a group, that girl Kristen, she's getting close with Brendan. 'How dare she! Who does she think she is?!' I thought to myself as I huffed silently. I planned on trying to worming my way into their "little circle of friendship" and take Brendan from them. 

** Later On In Class**
    I walked into the classroom and scanned the seats. I recognized a certain someone that I had hoped for. I lit up as I saw an empty seat in front of him and made my way to that seat. I sat down and smiled at him as he noticed me. 

"oh! Why hello there Brendan! Fancy meeting you here! In guessing we have the same class together!"

He just stared at me, an eyebrow raised before he said,

"Uh yeah, but you can't sit there. That's someones seat."

I blinked twice before I registered his reply.

"Oh.... Sorry..."

The disappointment leaked into my voice slightly as I got up and headed to the next available seat on the neighboring table. I was slightly upset at the fact that he didn't care, but especially the fact that he didnt seem too affected by the fact that I was in his class! I stared at his table, waiting for this 'someone' to come. Then I noticed that girl Kristen enter the classroom. She looked around the room.
Brendan saw her and immediately waved her over. Kristen, catching sight of Brendan, waved back and made her way the the opposite chair. They greeted each other before easing into a casual conversation. 'What?! That seat belongs to that girl Kristen?! He saved her seat and kicked me off?!' I mentally  screamed in frustration. That girl was irritating me.
    
Katrinna's POV:

    I had Healing 202. I groaned mentally, this was one of the few classes that I was doing a little smidge below average in. I sighed as I made my way to the class and heard the faint clacks of footsteps before I turned around to see Nathan. He waved slightly before reaching me and walking beside me. I smiled at him, as we walked side by side; I had almost forgot Nathan was in my class. Though how could I since he's the star of our class; he was even my practice partner! We entered the class and walked to our table, waiting for the class to start and receive our practice assignment for the day. The bell sounded as our teacher arrived in class, she greeted the class and explained our assignment for the next few days. Apparently we were to learn how to aid and heal animals. Of course, in magick everything is interconnected, and in turn of that we need to be taught how to heal things other than humans. Reason? Who knows, they might be able to aid us in some way in the future. Whatever, works for me. Our teacher instructed us to take our bags with us since we were heading outside; clapping her hands she instructed us to follow her. I sighed as I stood up with Nathan beside me as we followed our teacher to the school pasture. When the whole class arrived, each group was assigned a small group of injured animals that they would need to heal. Of course Nathan could heal easily, he's the star of the class. So he healed a few small animals; and left the big animals for me.
