Chapter Seven - Is It Really So Bad?

Y/N P.O.V.

Elijah and I walked in holding hands and met up with Kate.  She looked worried and we followed the parametric to a small waiting room with three couches and a tv.  They told us to wait in here while they treated to Corl, making sure he didn't have a concussion.  Elijah sat on one of the couches and I say next to him, his arm around my shoulder.  Kate was nervously sitting on the other side of me.

 "It's gonna be fine, Kate.  Lijh stopped Jack before he could do any real damage." I texted The Pals which part of the hospital we were in ( I called them on the way here and told them about Corl).  We were on the third floor, second hallway.  They arrived within a few minutes and say down.

 "What exactly happened?  Who is Jack and why did he attack Corl?". Denis asked me.  I sighed and told them about how he was my ex and though I was there with Corl.  Wanted revenge and well, you heard the rest.  Trying to lighted the mood a bit I said,

" Who wants coffee?  There is a cafe in the first floor by the gift shop. " I took everyone's order and Elijah volunteered to come with me.

 "Ooooooh!". Sub said, like he. really couldn't resist.  I just laughed and Lijh stuck his tongue out at him.  In the elevator I stood there then realized I !st a year fall down.my face.

" Hey, what's wrong.Y/N? ". Long said in a nice, calming tone.  I smiled at him for caring and said weakly,

" I feel.like this is all my fault.  I could have told everyone about it instead of running off and we could have left.  He's my ex after all.  I put everyone in danger... I just never thought by he'd go as far as to hurt someone. ". He wiped away another year that had fallen and slipped his hand into mine.  I liked that.

" It's not your fault!  It's his for being so scrappy before!  Can I just tell you something though?  I.Will always be here for you.". The elevator door opened and we stepped out still holding hands.  Walking into the cafe Elijah turned and said,

"I know it's not an appropriate place but, you wanna finish that date?  Just us here?  We can bring the others there stuff later... I just really want to talk to you. " I smile and nod.  We order two coffees and a large muffin.  We walked over to a little bench by a window.  The sun was shining and we had a good view of a large field with flowers.

"So... If you wondered why I said yes to you earlier, why d I you like me?  I mean you coulda had a girlfriend before I came but you just decided to... like me?  Why? "

 "Because....  I think you're very beautiful. " He leaned in and so did I.  We sat kissing on the bench for a little bit.  I.smiled the.while time.and when we pulled away, we both smiled some more.a

"I like this, y'know? "

"I do too." We sit in silence for a while, eating the muffin and sipping coffee.  Elijah turned over to me and said,

"I was uh, thinking uh....  You wanna-". I cut him off giggling.

"Sure, I'd love to be your girlfriend." We both looked at eachother, blushing and grinning wide.  I hold his hand and stand up.  We have to come.back.with coffees at some point so we.order them.  The elevator ride was quiet, but over the coffees in our hands Elijah leans in to kiss me quickly.  The door opens and we step out.  When we get back to our small waiting room everyone looks up.

"How long does it take to get a coffee?" Alex asks, laughing.

" Sooo, why did it take you two so long?  Huh?". Sub said raising his eyebrow.  I gently push him and sit over with Kaye, handing her a coffee.

"Details, now!" I laugh and Elijah sits. next to me.  I hold his hand and here Sub yell,

"Couple goals!"

 Corl's P.O.V.

I woke up with no memory of what has happened, and no clue where I was. I was on a cot and saw machines all around me. It smelled like soap and hand sanatizer. I turned to the only.lady in the room, an African American with long black braids and a calming smile.

"Excuse me, where a!.i? What happened?"

" Ah, you're awake! You were out for lunch with you're friends and a man attacked you on accident. He was jailed though. Left me tell you what a nice group independently have, they've been here for three hours. And you're a lucky guy to have a girlfriend who cares enough to ride in the ambulance with you. They all really care. " Girlfriend... Kate! She was really worried? I faintly remembered them going to the bathroom and then all of a sudden a man knocked me out.

"When can I go?"

" Well, now! You're friends filled out the paperwork and you're good to go with a few bumps. The man almost stabbed you but one of the guys out there saves you. You are truly a lucky soul, now I wait keep you any longer young man. Have a good day and stay safe! "

"You too miss!" I jumped. off the.cot and kind of wobbled, but got to the door. Walking out I really saw everyone. Sketch, Ethan, Denis, Alex, Sub, Y/N and finally, Kate. They all got up to see if I was alright. I told them all yes, but specifically went to Kate. Everyone backed off and all I could say was.

"Er... Hi?" SHe. pulled me in to kiss me and I kissed back, deepening it all. We stood.there for a while like that and backed away remembering the others. They were all smiling and Sub got up to slap me on the back. Y/N hugs Kate. She smiles and I say,

"Di d I miss.something?" Sketch just laughed and said he'll fill me in later.  I totally missed something juicy.
