It's here, the day is finally here. Amanda's house must be chaotic right now. I wish I was there to comfort her, because I know she's nervous, but all I can do right now is lay on my bed and think about her. I would touch my cheek every so often to remind me that not going was for the best. I had to be safe. I pulled the invitation out from under the pillow and stared at her picture with a slight smile on my lips. My smile slowly faded as I thought about her dancing with Daniel, her kissing him in the middle of that dance floor. My hand clenched into a fist, but something was in it, the envelope. I had crushed the envelope. I placed it on my bed and quickly smoothed it out. It was still ruined but not completely to the point where I couldn't use or keep it anymore. I placed it on my bedside table and turned back to admiring the card itself.

Around 6:00 my bedroom door opened and I quickly slipped the card and envelope back under the pillow. Dylan and Cole walked in, in their suits. Dylan was wearing a gray one with a light blue tie and a matching mask while Cole wore a white suit, black tie and matching black mask. I raised my eyebrows at them and mouthed, "Wow." They won't be hard to miss at the party. All the guys are probably gonna wear black suits and black masks like Kyle.
"This is the perfect suit to go with Amanda's dress," Dylan said, gesturing to himself. "We'll make a great couple."
Cole was about to argue, but I cut him off and stood up. "You guys do know that she has a boyfriend right?" I pointed out. "Remember Daniel, star quarterback of the football team, he's in the same grade as us."
Dylan waved me away. "She won't be his by the end of tonight."
He smirked as Cole glared at him. I rolled my eyes. I really didn't have time for their childish games right now. I had to see if Lucas had work for me so I can keep myself busy. I shouldered them out of my way and walked down the stairs. I found Lucas in the living room, pacing. At least he had the decency to dress right. I cleared my throat and his head snapped up in my direction.
"What do you want?" he spat.
"I was wondering if you had any work for me to do," I said making him raise one of his eyebrows at me in surprise.
"Really?" he asked and I nodded.
He looked at me in suspicion before smirking. "I want you to clean...." he trailed off, thinking, "my bedroom."
I nodded. That was the only room in the house I haven't cleaned, because it was his lair. I started to walk away, but he stopped me.
"I'm gonna be back at midnight so make sure my room is clean by then," he said and I nodded to let him know I understood.
I got my cleaning supplies out of the hallway closet and went up to his room. When I walked in my jaw dropped to the floor.
"You have to be fucking kidding me," I whispered to myself, looking around. I've never seen a room this messy in my entire life. The boys aren't even this big of slobs. He must've done this on purpose so that he can make me clean it on the night of the party. It's not like it would make a difference, I'm not going anyway. I sighed before setting the supplies to the side and deciding what I would start with first.
