Amanda
There he was, the boy I was dancing with. He was smiling at me. I looked down at myself and I was in my quinceanera dress. He held out his hand to me and I gladly took it. He held me closed and we danced without music. A loud gong sounded and we looked around. "I have to go," he said and was about to dash off, but I grabbed his arm and pulled him back. "Wait," I said. I took my hand away from his arm and touched his mask. I slid it off and I gasped at the sight I saw, Jonathan. He really did come. "You came," I stated making him smile. "Of course I did," he replied. He grabbed onto my waist and leaned down to kiss me. When he did, sparks flew. I grabbed his face and pushed it into mine a little more. Next thing you know he was gone. Disappeared into the air without a trace.
I opened my eyes. I was in my room, my dress was in my closet, the invitation was on my bedside table. I took the envelope and hugged it to my chest. I have to find that guy even if it's the last thing I do. Just then the doorbell rung. "Amanda, Daniel's here!" Mom called out. I palm faced myself. I'll find that guy as soon as I take care of some business. I got out the charm bracelet from the draw on my bedside table and sighed. I snatched the covers off of me and placed the invitation on my bed before going down the stairs. Daniel was standing in the doorway with a smile. Mom gave me a look and I nodded before she disapeared into the kitchen. "We need to talk," I said. "I know," he agreed, "I'm sorry for missing the quinceanera, but I was really sick-" "No, not that," I interrupted. I gestured for him to follow me into the living room and I closed the door behind him. "Sit down," I said and he obeyed. I filled the spot next to him. The bracelet was clutched in my hand. "We need have to discuss our relationship," I began making him frown, "You used to be the most amazing guy ever, but now you've change....a lot," I took a deep breath, "I'm in love with someone else. And I think we should break up." He looked down and laughed. "What's so funny?" I asked. "You actually think we're gonna break up," he laughed, "That's cute." "I'm serious Daniel," I said sternly. "Your parents won't allow it," he said smugly. "They already have. Goodbye Daniel." I placed the bracelet in his hand and gestured for him to leave. He narrowed his eyes at me before stomping out of the living room and out the door. I rolled my eyes and sighed. Now that that's over with, on to more important things.
I examined the invitation for some sort of clue on whose it might be. I even smelled it. I recognize the fragrence because I use it in my room. Crisp Water. There are only three people I know that smell like that Dylan, Cole, and Jonathan. Dylan and Cole didn't have on a black suit which means that this invitation is Jonathan's. I squealed in delight. "I kissed Jonathan Good!" I screamed, falling back on my bed giggling. I can't believe I kissed Jonathan and more importantly, he made the first move. I have to see Jonathan...now. I slipped on some gray sweats, a black tank top, and black Chuck Taylor's. I grabbed the invitation, my phone, and Mom's keys and headed out.
When I got there, I walked up to the door and rung the bell. Lucas answered it within seconds. He seemed shocked that I came by. "Hi Lucas," I greeted, "Is Jonathan home?" He frowned at me. "You want Jonathan?" he questioned, "Not Dylan, not Cole?" I shook my head. "Jonathan please." He stared at me for a few seconds. "Jonathan! Someone's here to see you!" he called up the stairs, "Come in." I walked inside and he lead me to the living room. About a minute later I heard someone come down the stairs. "Amanda?" I turned around and smiled at Jonathan. "Hi, Jonathan," I said. "What are you doing here?" he asked. I held up the invitation and his jaw clenched together. "So this is yours," I confirmed and he nodded. "Come here." I gestured him forward. He walked over to me and I grabbed his hands. "Can I ask you something?" I asked and he nodded, "Why did you avoid me all this time?" "Because we're not right for each other," he answered, "I'm an outcast, you're one of the most popular girls in school. There's no way someone like you would be interested in someone like me." I shook my head, "No true. I've had a crush on you ever since the first day of school when we bumped into each other in the hallway," I explained. "You did?" he asked in disbelief. I nodded. "Did you ever hate me?" I asked and he frowned. "Of course not." I stepped closer to him. "Then kiss me," I said making him raise his eyebrows at me. "If you kiss me and you don't feel anything then we can forget all of this happened and we'll be friends. But if you do feel something like I did last night then I want us to start a life together. I want us to-" He grabbed the back of my neck and smashed his lips onto mine before I could finish. I took his hair out of its ponytail and ran my ran my fingers through his hair. We stumbled onto the couch, him on top of me and he gripped onto the hem of my tank top. We finally pulled away for air and I didn't need him to say a word for my answer, I already knew. This was it. This was the start of something good, a new beginning.
