"This place is amazing!" I exclaimed.
We had arrived at The Center and it was just like Mom had described it. The room was glowing aqua blue from the lights above. There were round table wrapping around a humungous dance floor that had a single light pink spotlight. At the very end of the room was a long table where I would sit in the middle and my parents would sit on either side of me. The decorations on the tables were just what I wanted. The head of the chair were wrapped in light pink ribbon, the table cloth was aqua blue and the middle of the tables were occupied by huge vases filled with Canna 'Blueberry Sparklers'. The plates were white with gold rim around them and some were placed on light pink mats while others were placed on aqua blue in a pattern and the utensils were real silver. Everything was absolutely perfect....almost. Jonathan had to be here and we had to dance so that this night was truly perfect. I turned around and hugged Mom.
"Thank you so much," I said into her shoulder as she hugged back tightly.
"Anything for my baby girl," she replied as we pulled away. "Now let's get you ready, the guests will be arriving soon."
I nodded in agreement as she lead me out of the room and down the hall. We stopped at the first door on the right and walked in. It was a small room, filled with all the things that I would need. Isabella was sittng on a chair, reading a magazine.
"About time you guys came," she said. I saw her dress in the corner. It was a silk, floor length aqua blue dress that had a slit in the middle.
"Aw you matched for me?" I asked. She smiled and shrugged. Both her and Mom sat me on a chair in front of a vanity and got to work."Aaannnd done," Isabella said as she put on the last of my lip gloss.
I got out of my chair and looked in the full length mirror. I looked like a princess. My dress was light pink with ruffles at the shirt and strapless. Part of my hair was straightened while the other part was in a hump. I was wearing flats right now, but I was just hours away from my dad taking them off and exchanging them for high heels and Jonathan will be right there to see it. Then after our father-daughter dance, Jonathan will ask me to dance with him and the night will be perfect. I could just picture it now and couldn't wait for my party to start. Mom came from behind me holding two boxes. She set one down on the chair beside her and opened the one in her hand. When she pulled it out, I gasped, a diamond necklace. She put it on my neck and smiled.
"I love it," I breathed.
"Well you're gonna love this even more," she said as she opened the second box and pulled the item out. I practically screamed in delight making both her and Isabella giggle.
A crown. She gently placed it on my head, now I really looked like a princess. I hope Jonathan liked this. I turned around and hugged her. This was gonna be the best night of my life. I looked Mom over and smiled. She was wearing a white floor length dress with nude colored heels. The straps were crossed which made a circle, showing a little bit of her chest. I shook my head. Mom still tries to be like us even though she's been mistaken as my twin multiple times. Not that I mind or anything. Her hair was in a perfect bun. Isabella had on her dress with silver high heels and her hair was in curls, the ends of her hair in ringlets. Her quinceanera was in May and it was fantastic. I had a great time. That was when Daniel was actually sweet.
"Come on in." I heard Dad say and then we heard commotion coming from the other side of the door.
They were here. I was gonna be out there in an hour. The guests were going to enjoy appetizers and dance for a little bit. This will be a night to remember.
