hi

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day Tyde was aloud to go home. I spent all night by his side, holding his hand. Tyde couldn't wait to get out of the hospital and go home with his family. His parents left last night with his sister but Troye and I stayed.

Tyde's parents came back at 10 o'clock in the morning to pick us up. Tyde was in a wheelchair because he couldn't put weight on his legs from all of the blood loss.

We left the hospital and went to the car. Troye helped Tyde into the car and put the wheel chair in the back. I sat beside Tyde in the back and held his hand in mine. The car ride home was quiet and akward. Nobody wanted to talk about the fact that Tyde was in the hospital.

When we got to their house Troye helped Tyde get out and into his wheelchair. He wheeled him into the house and the rest of us followed behind them.

"Troye could you take me to my room?" Tyde asked Troye softly.

"Sure thing Tyde." Troye took Tyde into his room and came back to the living room where everybody else was.

"So. What are we going to do about Tyde?" Chris asked.

"Give him unconditional love and help him through this." Sage said.

"I didn't even know that he was depressed!" I said and put my head in my hands.

"It's ok Kate. Only Troye did. Tyde is really good at hiding his feelings." Sage said and moved to sit beside me. She was rubbing my back reasuringly.

"But i'm his girlfriend. I should have noticed it." I started to silently cry.

"Could you guys give us a minute?" Sage asked. They got up and left the room.

"Kate. It's ok, I didn't notice either. But right now you need to be strong for Tyde. I have a feeling that you will be the only one he will talk to, so you need to be strong. Please Kate." Sage said.

"Ok. Should I go see him now?"

"If you want to."

"Ok. Then I will go now." I got up and slowly walked to Tyde's room. I don't know why I was so nervous but I was.

I knocked and then opened the door without waiting for an answer. I walked into his room and he was sitting in the wheelchair, looking out the window.

"Hey Tyde." I said as I got closer to him. I sat down on his bed and waited for him to speak.

"Hi Kate."

"How are you feeling?"

"Fine."

"That's good. Do you feel like talking?"

"Not now. Sorry."

"You have nothing to be sorry for. I'm the one that should be saying sorry." I went over to him and kneeled down so that I was looking at him in eyes. I grabbed his hand and held it tightly in mine.

"Stop Kate. Please. You didn't do anything wrong. Can you help me get on my bed please?"

"Sure Tyde" I stood up and wheeled him over to the side of his bed. I took his arms and gently pulled him up so he was standing. I put my arm around his waist to support his weight and put him on the bed so that he was sitting on the edge facing me.

"Thank you Kate." Tyde said as he moved his legs so that he could lie down. He winced and groaned after moving his legs in a certain way.

"Are you ok? Did that hurt?" I asked and sat down next to his body.

"Yes. I'm fine now though." He looked up at me and looked right into my eyes. Tyde reached his hand up to my head and ran his fingers through my hair. Twisting some peices in his fingers.

"Do you want to try and sleep for a bit?" I asked him.

"I guess so." He lay down and I got a blanket from the bottom of the bed and put it on him.

"I love you." I said and leaned down to kiss him on the cheek. I was about to turn around and walk out of the room when he grabbed my arm.

"Please stay with me. I don't want to be alone." He said.

"Of course." I lay down on the bed beside Tyde and turn my body so that I was on my side facing him. He was on his back but his head was turned to look at me.

"I love you too." Tyde said and closed his eyes. Drifting off to sleep quickly. The medicine he is taking makes him really tired.

When I was sure that Tyde was asleep I got out of the bed quickly and left the room silently.

When I walked into the living room I saw Sage and Troye sitting on the couch on their phones.

"Tyde is sleeping." I said as I sat beside Troye.

"Did he talk to you?" Troye asked.

"Yes. But not about anything important."

"But he is talkng so that is good." Sage said, trying to brighten our moods.

"I wish I knew why he did this." Troye said and groaned, frustrated.

I didn't know if Tyde wanted them to know why he did it but I knew because he told me at the hospital. I decided to tell them because they are Tyde's family and they deserve to know.

"I know why." I said quietly. Troye's head snapped up and he looked at me with wide eyes. "He told me in the hospital."

"Please Kate. Tell us." Sage begged me.

"He was very depressed and some things happened that made him feel really sad." I didn't want to tell them the whole truth because Troye would hate himself after.

"What happened?" Troye asked. I guess it would be better for Tyde if I told him. I don't want to keep secrets.

"He thought that I didn't like him anymore, he had a fight with Sam, and....." I just couldn't say it.

"And what? Kate please, we are his siblings. We have the right to know." Tyde said, speaking for himself and Sage.

"And because you said that you hated him." I said. Sage gasped and Troye looked stunned.

"I-I didn't mean it." Troye said, on the verge of tears. "I need to go see him." Troye got up and started running to Tyde's room.

"Stop Troye! He is sleeping. You can't wake him up." I ran after him and blocked the doorway from him.

"Get out of the way Kate! I need to see him!"
