Chapter 34

After an hour of sitting and waiting for the doctor to come tell us something... anything... Dr.Lute finally came over to where Jenn, Arden, Andrea, Lauren, and I were sitting.

"Kate is now stable but it turns out that her appendix burst yesterday. She will need to get it removed in surgery today. Good thing you brought her in when you did or else things would have gotten bad." She told us.

I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing. It's good that we finally know what it is and it's not a fatal disease, but it's bad because Kate has to get surgery. 

"Thank you doctor. Can we go see her?" Lauren asked.

"Yes of course. She is in room 347, down that hallway and to the right." She pointed us the correct way and walked away.

We all stood up and started walking in the direction of Kate's room. I can't wait to see her.

When we finally got to room 347 we opened the door and walked in. We saw Kate sitting on a white hospital bed and I immediately ran to her side and gave her a hug.

"Tyde!" Kate said excitedly.

"Kate. I'm so glad that your ok."

She smiled her breathtaking smile at me and finally noticed her 4 roomates behind me.

"You came to visit!" She opened her arms in their direction so they would come and giver her a hug.

They did and sat down on the seats beside her bed. I sat at the end of her bed so I could be closer to her.

"Did they tell you guys about my sugery?" She asked us.

"Yes. We will be in the waiting room for the whole time and we will be by your side when you wake up. Don't worry, I'm sure that the surgery will go great." Andrea said. 

"I d-don't want to get surgery." Kate started stuttering and she had some tears in her eyes.

"Baby. It will be fine so don't you worry about it." I tryed to reasure her about it.

"I know. But i'm still worried about it." She tryed to wipe her tears away but she missed a lot.

I cupped her cheek with my hand and wiped the tears away with my thumb.

I kissed her lips but pulled away too fast for my own liking because I didn't think that her roomates would want to see us kiss.

Kate smiled at me and of course I smiled back because her smile is contangious.

"You know that your smile can cure cancer, right?" I asked her.

She blushed and looked down at her hands in her lap.

"Please stop being so cute it's making me want to throw up." Arden said, jokingly.

"Did one of you bring my phone for me?" Kate asked.

"I did." Jenn took Kate's iphone 6 out of her purse and handed it to Kate. "Here you go."

"Thank you Jenn so much!"

"No problem Kate."

"When am I going into surgery?" Kate asked us.

"In about 2 hours. Dr.Lute told us that somebody will be in here soon to tell you about the surgery." Lauren said.

"Ok. How long is the surgery?"

"An hour I think." (A/N I don't know how long this surgery is usually so let's just say that it is an hour)
