Chapter 19

"Tyde! What the hell?!"

I rolled off of Tyde, making sure that I didn't touch his legs, onto the other side of the bed.

Sam was standing at the door with a smirk on his face. (Hahahaha tricked you).

"Sam!" Tyde exclaimed.

"Hey buddy. Sorry, I didn't mean to interupt your make out sesion!" Sam said. Still smirking. He came into the room and closed the door behind him.

"Hey Sam! It's been a while." I said and went over to Sam and gave him a big bear hug.

"Hi Kate! How are you going?" 

"Good! And you?"

"I've been good too!" He said and then looked back over at Tyde.

"I get a hug from your girlfriend but not you? Stop being so lazy." Sam joked.

Tyde looked over at me and we made eye contact. I could tell that he wanted ME to tell Sam, from his facial expression.

"Tyde... can't really walk." I said slowly.

"What do you mean?" Sam said looking startled.

"He ummmmmm....... got dragged along the pavement by his dog." I said.

"No Kate, you can tell him the truth." Tyde said.

I told Sam everything and he gasped and looked completley shocked.

"Tyde. I'm so sorry." Sam said and moved to Tyde's side to give him a hug.

"It's fine Sam. I am already feeling better!" Tyde smiled.

"If you ever need to talk about something, then just know that I am always here for you."

"Thanks Sam!"

"Kate, can I talk to you for a moment outside?" Sam asked me. Weird.

"Ya of course!" I walked out of the room and Sam followed behind me.

"DON'T TRY TO KISS MY GIRLFRIEND! OR I WILL KILL YOU!" Tyde yelled from the room. Trying to lighten the mood.

Sam closed the door behind us and we just stood in the hallway for a while.

"Thank you for taking care of Tyde. It means a lot to him. You can tell." Sam broke the silence.

"It's no problem! I will always take care of him."

"I had no idea that this was going on. I feel like such a bad best friend." Sam sighed.

"It's ok Sam. Nobody did! Not even me... and your a great friend. You just have to remember that Tyde is a bit unstabable right now so we should all be nice to him and convince him that his life is worth living."

"I will. Thanks again Kate!" Sam hugged me and we went back into the room.

"I only kissed her once." Sam said jokingly. And playfully winked at me.

"Well as long as you only did it once." Tyde said. He reached out for me even though I was at the other end of the room so I walked over an sat beside him. He put his arm around me and I nuzzled my head into his chest. He smelled sooo good.

"Wow guys! Thanks for leaving me out." Sam fake pouted.

"Find someone else to cuddle with." I said.

"SAGE?!? Sam yelled.

"WHAT?!" She yelled right back.

"WILL YOU COME CUDDLE WITH ME?"

"NO!" Sage shouted. Tyde and I were laughing our asses off. 

"Well I tryed!" Sam said, giving up and sitting on the chair by Tyde's desk.

There are only five more days until Christmas so It is the 20th. I am still in Austrailia and I plan to stay here until I have to go back for school. Tyde is still off his feet and I have to change his gauze every three days now. He is feeling a lot better and is talking to his family more often.

I called my mom and dad to tell them what was going on and they said I can stay here until school starts. The only problem is that I am missing my family Christmas dinner with all of my cousins. They were sad that I wasn't  going to be there but they said that I can come visit them when I get back. Most of them live in Ontario, Canada but some live in Alberta or the United States.

RRRIIIIINNNNGGGGG RRRRIIIIINNNNGGGG RRRRIIIIINNNNGGGG RRRRRIIIIINNNNNGGGGGG

I looked at my phone and saw that is was a call from my cousin Jillian. She is 20 and lives in Ontario.

"Hey Jill!" I said when I picked up the phone. I was sitting on the couch wrapped in Tyde's arms. It was just after dinner and we were relaxing and watching some tv.

"Katerina! It's so nice to here your voice. I've missed you!" Most of my extended family calls me by my real name.

"Ya same. How is Ontario?"

"Good. How is Austrailia and Tyde?" Tyde was so close to me that he could hear our whole conversation.

"Austrailia is really hot. Tyde is good."

"It's a shame that he hurt his legs. And I can't believe that his dog kept running!" Jill laughed at the end.

"Ya I know right!"

"I can hear two sets of breaths, who are you with?"

"Tyde. We are cuddling on the couch."

"Awwwww. That's so cute! HI TYDE!" She shouted through the phone.

"Hello Jillian!" Tyde said and started smiling.

"His accent!" Jillian said and fake died through the phone. I started laughing at her because Tyde could hear everything that she was saying.

"You do know that Tyde can hear you right?"

"Oops. I do now! Well I better get going. My roomates just set the Mac & Cheese on fire. CHELSEA JUST PUT THE FIRE OUT!" She is in university and lived in a house with six of her friends. Chelsea was no the smartest person in the world but she was really nice!

"Bye Jill. Call me later, yeah?"

"Wow. Your souding more and more Austrailian every day. I will and BYE!" Jill said.

I hung up and through my phone on the other side of the couch.

"So what do you want for Christmas, Kate?" Tyde asked me. I haven't even thought about that. I guess I have been so busy taking care of Tyde that I forgot that Christmas was in only a few days!

"I already have everything that I want." I knew it was cheesy but it was 100% true!

"Oh stop being so cheesy!" Tyde smiled.

I looked up into his mesmorizing eyes and e leaned down and kissed me softly.

"MOM! Kate and Tyde are making out on the couch!" Troye yelled to Laurelle from the doorway of the living room.

"Sure they are sweetie!" Laurelle said, obviously not believing Troye.

We just laughed about it and went back to watching some stupid reality show on tv.
