Chapter 6

The next two weeks before school went by really quickly. I hung out with my friends and went to my cottage with Alec and my cousins. In two weeks I am going to LA to see Tyde.

It is the first day of school and I am waiting for the school bus. It picked me up and then drove me to school. When I got there I found out that my teacher for the year was Mrs. Radin. She is really nice and hopefully won't mind when I leaving for 5 days in the third week of school. I am supposed to tell her today so I can get my homework for the trip.

I walked into my classroom and took a seat by my bestfriend Cara and my friend Josh. I am friends with almost all of the people in my grade beacuse there is only 40 of us. We all get along really well but there are 2 different grade 8 classes.

"Alright class. take your seats and settle down." Mrs. Radin said when she walked in. "I am Mrs. Radin and I will be your teacher for the year."

We went around the room saying our names and something we like which we do every year. Then we got started with the actual work.

By the end of the day I had math and french homework. The french was easy because I was practicly fluent.

The final bell rang signaling the end of the day so I decided that it was a perfect time to talk to Mrs. Radin.

"hey mrs.Radin can i talk to you for a second?"

"of course Kate! Whats on your mind?"

"In two weeks I am going to LA for 5 days so I will be missing 3 days of school. Can I get the work for the three days before I leave?" She looked surprised probably because I was leaving so early in the year and missing school.

"Leaving so soon in the year? Whats the reason your going?" Im not going to tell her that it is to visit my boyfriend so I just made up an excuse!

"I-I have to visit some family friends." Good enough.

"Is your whole family going?" She probably doesnt believe me.

"No. Just me. So can I get the work?"

"Oh yes of course!"

"Thank you Mrs. Radin."

"No problem dear. I will give you the work a couple days before you leave!" I smiled at her and then left the building to walk home.

The walk is only 5 minutes so it was really short. When I got home I decided to call Tyde.

He picked up on the second ring.

Hi baby

"Hi Tyde. I miss you!"

I miss you too kate! But we will see eachother in 2 short weeks!

"but what about after that? how will we see echother?"

we can make it work kate, dont worry. And we can visit eachother every 2 months! your uncle is a pilot right?

"ya! Thats a good idea Tyde. I have to go do my homework so I will text you tonight."

ok bye. love you.

"love you too tyde!" I hung up and decided to start my homework. Ryan is making dinner and my parents are at work. They usually get home a lot later. But I dont care if they work a lot. They are still really awesome and can always make time for Ryan and I.
