After talking more into the situation we both ate some breakfast and waved goodbye when I finished.

Honestly this year is becoming more dramatic than it was last year, I think my head's spinning just thinking about it.

I was thinking about going to my house when I passed by Peter's house, I stop.

I get my phone and I don't know if this was a coincidence but I then get a phone call from Peter.

"H-hello?"

Maggie! Can you pass by my house?

"Uh yeah sure, be there in 1 second."

*Laughter*  Ok

I get out of the car and ring the doorbell.

"Oh wow, you were serious!"

I nod, smiling.

"I'm always serious," I say laughing, "What did you want?"

He steps closer to me, inches away from my face.

I step back, hesitating.

He clears his throat.

"Um, Maggie I need to tell you something, but I think it's better if you come in."

I walk inside, noticing the little details now.

I sit on the couch.

"What's up?" I ask, breaking the awkward silence.

I could hear my heart beating so loudly that I'm afraid he could hear it too.

As he sat down my phone started to ting.

Ugh, my does it ring at the wrong times!

"Hello?"

Are you busy right now?

"Um..." I first look at the ID, it was Joyce, then I look at Peter to make sure is he was ok with it.

He nods, looking a little glum.

"Yeah, what's up?"

Come to the Indio Starbucks, this is no hangout, just letting you know.

I pause for a moment, then see Peter with a disappointed expression, and I knew he was trying to hide it with a forced smile.

Hello? Maggie?

"Yeah sorry, I'll be there in a bit," I reply and hang up, "I promise I will be back, life has been complicated for me these few months, sorry."

Peter stands up and grabs my hand then looks up at me.

"I know you will."

I smile, open the door, get in my car, then drive off.

As I was waiting for the light to turn green, I let out a big sigh, then feel tears rolling down my face.

I clean them quickly.

This is no time for emotions.

And just shake it off, it was a bad choice to do, if you tell me.

As I enter Starbucks and the first thing I do is look around for where Joyce was at.

"Hello, how can I help you?" says the Starbucks employee.

I take one look around again and turn back to the cashier.

"Can I have a Vanilla Bean Frappuccino?"
