Emotions Take Over You

"Yeah, I'm pretty glad."

Me and Hoeseok jump.

"Aris?!" Hoseok exclaims.

"When Maggie told me that you were cheating on me, I couldn't-" her voice cracks.

And even with the lights off I can see tears rolling down her cheek.

I stand up and give her a quick hug.

"You know we'll always be together."

She lets go of my grasp and goes next to Hoseok.

"So everything you told Maggie, is true, or were you making stuff up so you can make yourself innocent," she says, in a snappy tone.

"I can assure you it's all true, in fact-"

Hoseok then clutches his chest and the monitor starts beeping loudly.

I stand there, eyes wide open.

Not this again.

The door opens rapidly and a bunch of doctors come in and quickly attended him.

Me and Aris back away, then a doctor comes up to us.

"Will you ladies please wait in the patient's room."

We both nod at the doctor and I catch sight of the doctor that brought me to his office attending him too, and he catches sight of me too.

When were outside I was about to tell Aris something when I see a worried look cross her face.

"Aris? Is everything ok?"

She stays quiet.

"Maggie, Aris! Over here!"

We both turn around and see Joyce in the patient's room with Amaris and Jungkook.

We both walk towards them until Aris walks the other way to where the bathrooms are and goes to the ladies bathroom.

When I reach Joyce she says, "What's up with Aris?"

I look to where she went.

"I don't know, since we got out of Hoseok's room, she seemed...stressed out, worried."

Joyce stared at the ladies restroom door for a while then went back to reality.

"We'll let her be, she probably just needs time alone."

I nod and I sit back in the chair in the patient's room.

"Ms.Ambriz please come to my office."

I stood up, after waiting for what seemed hours I was pretty exhausted.

The doctor opened the door wider for me to enter and sat on the same chair.

As the doctor sat back too, I looked at him attentively and noticed sad eyes.

He sighed, and that's when I knew I had made a terrible mistake.

My head started to spin, as all the guilt I've pushed down crawling all the way to my throat, clogging it.

 The doctor must have noticed my worried look cause he quickly said, "Don't worry this has nothing to do with you, he suffered a minor heart attack, the only thing is..." He paused for a second looking through the papers in front of him.

"The only thing is he will keep getting heart attacks and each one will get bigger and bigger, once he reaches to a major heart attack he will-"

I raised my hand to stop him.

"Is there anything you can do to cure him?"

He looks through the papers briefly one more time.

"We can try, but it will take some time, and there is a possibility we will fail."

"Please," I stand up, "Help my friend, he means so much to my friend, if there's anything I can do tell me right away."

I open the door and halfway out the office, the doctor calls out, "Here," he takes a card from the desk and walks towards me.

"Take my number in case of anything."

I grab the card from his hand and stare at it then look up at him.

I can sense the smell of hospital medicine and see how handsome and more attractive he is up close.

I look away.

"Thank you, for helping."

"Your welcome."

I walk to where Amaris, Jungkook and Joyce are still waiting.

"So, what happened?" asks Joyce as I sit down.

"The doctor said he will suffer from heart attack, and will try to cure him but will be a possibility they will fail and he will...anyways he said they will try their hardest."

Joyce started to smooth my shoulders noticing that I was crying this whole time.

"I know Hoseok well enough, I know he'll stay strong and survive," Jungkook says.

"I wonder what will happen to Aris, I don't know what I would do if you were in that situation," Amaris exclaimed. 

I nodded to all of them.

"I'm going to check on Aris and see how's she's doing, I'll be back."

I turn a corner and walk into the ladies bathroom, when I open the door I see Aris curled up in a ball sitting on top of where the sinks are.

I slowly approach her when out of nowhere she says, "I know you're trying to help, I'm fine, just leave me in peace please."

"You know, a little pep talk won't hurt."

I can hear a muffled sigh behind her hidden head in her arms.

She raises her head from her arms, red faced, and tears still coming out.

"I don't know what to do now, this is all my fault, if I never said that to Hoseok he wouldn't be suffering this."

I pat her shoulder.

"It wasn't your fault, he was already going to get a heart attack."

She started to tear up.

"Come on, I bet once he sees you, I bet he'll heal a lot faster."

She gives me a small smile, and slowly climbs down from the sinks counter, then lets out a sigh as if she's been holding it for this occasion.

"If it makes him really feel better, then I'll go, but I'm not promising anything."

I smile, and nod.

"I know so."

We both walked to Hoseok's room and once we opened the door I saw the girl from mini store, that was supposedly "Hoseok's girlfriend."

Aris was about to leave when Hoseok yelled, "Aris wait! She's not really my girlfriend, she's my sister!"

Aris stopped in her tracks and turned to look at me and then back at Hoseok whose face was telling me for Aris to give him a second chance.

He sighed.

"I did it because your old friends threatened me to, they wanted me to be in a relationship with my sister, or she was going to be hurt."

Aris looked at the lady cleary, and so did I.

Though last time I checked Da Won didn't have blonde hair, but at that moment she takes of her hair and see it was just a wig, flashing us a nervous smile.
