That night, Ariven slept in the guest room as he pondered over the past events. He was beginning to regret speaking to Minela that way and he was itching to go back to their room and apologise for his behaviour but his ego wouldn't let him. He now realised that he had acted in a fits of anger. Minela was right, he was insecure. She had been so distant to her for two weeks and to make things worse, her ex had to go to his office and spoil his mood.

Minela wasn't feeling any better. She was still in their library, cursing herself for her stupidity. How could she even think Ariven would do something like that?

She sat there for a while and suddenly wondered where Ariven was. She knew he didn't leave since she didn't hear the garage open. Is he in our room?

She never like sleeping without solving an argument with Ariven but this is what she has been doing lately, ignoring him and not answering any of his questions. Suddenly deciding that she needed to speak to him, she quickly went back in their room. She was heartbroken when she didn't see him there. The lights were even dimmer and some candles were already extinguished. The petals laid there, untouched. Her heart raced as she frantically went around the house. At this time, all the maids were already gone and the house was dark.

When Ariven saw her entered their guest room, he purposingly closed his eyes, pretending to sleep. She felt a sting in her heart when she realised Ariven was not planning to sleep near her this night. She approached him and placed a hand on his chest as she weeped.

"I'm sorry, Ariven. I'm such a bad wife." Her lips trembled, as she looked at him and she swore she felt him tense a little but finally decided it may have been just a fragment of her imagination.

"I may never have been good at showing it to you but I love you, Ariven. I really do. I understand if you don't believe me-" She gasped when Ariven suddenly pulled her into a kiss.

"I'm sorry. I acted like an idiot. I knew you were going through things, I should've been more understanding."
Minela shook her head as she rested it on his chest.

"Seriously though, I don't know how you still keep up with my shits sometimes. You're an angel, Minela. "

"No, I'm not. I'm evil. I hurt you-" She whimpered. Ariven pulled her onto him more so that she was finally on the bed. Minela awkwardly shook her slippers off as she snuggled closer to him.

"Shh.."

"Ariven? "

"Hmm?"

"Please make love to me." She whispered.

"Right now?" He asked.

They made love that night and for the first time, Minela felt something...different.

Was it because she had admitted loving him? She had no idea but she was sure he didn't look at her the same way he usually did when they made love. When they both came together, Minela whispered, " I love you", while wrapping her arms around him.

"I know." He said, giving her a conflicted look. Was she expecting him to say it back? He didn't even know what love was. Yes he liked her, cared about her, he wanted to give her comfort and happiness and he didn't like seeing her in pain but was that love? He didn't know.

When Minela saw his conflicted expression, she said, "I don't expect you to say it back, Ariven. I don't want you to feel pressurized into loving me."

"I like you, Minela."

"I'm glad." Minela said as she snuggled against him. She was glad he didn't ask her why she has been avoiding him these two weeks and she decided that if he dropped the subject, she wouldn't tell him anything.
