Starlight's POV-

Ever since I was a kid, it was pretty obvious that my magic was different from everyone else's. Even Sunburst said that he was jealous because I was so strong. Sometimes, though, it got out of hand. I wasn't as bad Flurry Heart was, but sometimes, I would sneeze, and shoot at my parents when I was in infant.

Sunburst helped me with my problem a lot. Instead of being like me--trying to do something without any knowledge of how to--he would study it, then show me how to do it. I started to gain control. But, when Sunburst headed to magic school, I didn't have anyone to help me with it.

My parents didn't know what to do, I had no other friends. So I started hiding it all so no one knew what I was capable of. I studied on my own, and learned how to make spells.

One day, I thought about how great it would be to take advantage of this power. Use it for what it was really created for. Everyday I regret that decision. I wish I wasn't so stupid then, maybe if I thought of the consequences, maybe I would have stopped.

It was the next day after Trixie and I posted flyers around town, some legally and... illegally, but that wasn't the point. I chose to stay out the castle since Twilight and her friends were going to be there all day. Trixie asked me if I wanted to help her with her things for the next performance, and I agreed. Trixie was also going out of town in the next couple of weeks to Manhattan. She got an opportunity to do a show at someone's theater as an opening performance.

I told Trixie to forget about the whole Maud and Maudbriar thing since Twilight and the others will take care of it. I could tell it still bothered her, though. I still don't know why she cared so much. I mean, maybe it was because everyone kinda forgave her after she enslaved the town? But, I still thought it was creepy that she could tell they were apart because of the way they were looking at each other. Then again, Trixie will do anything to get her name out there.

"Jeez, Trix," I said, carrying a box out of the van. "Why do you have so much stuff?"

"Oh, you know," she said, digging through a chest. "Just some things I collected while traveling around Equestria."

Behind us, a tower of boxes fell as little balls and gadgets fell out. I jumped and looked over at it.

"Just SOME stuff?" I said.

"Goodness, Starlight, you're so dramatic." Trixie said.

I rolled my eyes and squatted down to pick up the items that fell.

"Oh, Starlight?" Trixie said, still digging around in the chest. "Can you get me one of the card decks from the van?"

I looked up in the van to see if I saw the card decks. There was about three of them laying on top of more boxes. I didn't feel like walking all the way over there so I just stood up and used my magic to levitate over to Trixie. I waved it in front of her face until she noticed it.

"Thanks!"

She put her hand up, picking it up with her magic.

I turned around and finished picking up the first box.

"So tell me, Starlight..." Trixie said. "What was the deal with Twilight being worried about your magic and stuff?"

I set the second cardboard box to the side.

"Well it's just, Twilight doesn't trust me," I said.

"Same."

"That's not my point."
