Starlight's POV-

Twilight and everyone still weren't back from the day before. Spike stayed at the castle while they  went. He said that it was okay and that they could handle it. I trusted him for some reason.

Sunburst ended up coming earlier than originally. He responded to my letter, full- heartedly excited to be able to come sooner. He would come mid the next week and today was the day he would arrive.

I paced around nervously, making sure to stay in the back so I would not run into anyone. I had my arms crossed and my mouth resting on my fist. I was scared. Though we kept in touch, how would he had changed? I hadn't seen him in almost a year! Have I changed?

"Hey!"

Suddenly I heard a man's voice. It had a weird New Jerseyan accent. I looked up.

"You okay there?"

It was the man in the ticket window. He was balding and had a big gray beard. He wasn't the thinnest but seemed like a normal person wasting away at work.

"Me?" I asked pointing to myself.

"Yes you!" he said. "You be out here pacing around like your wife's about to have a baby!"

Odd way of describing my nervousness but I gave in.

"Sorry it's just--my friend is coming to visit and I'm just nervous to see him," I laughed embarrassingly.

"Well prancing around ain't gonna benefit you in anyway!" he threw his hand out the window, trying to make a point. "Sit on one of those benches and take a breather."

I didn't respond but instead fell back in a bench and let out a breath of air. I'm glad I listened to the ticket guy, sitting down did actually make me feel a little bit better. Though, I still wasn't completely calm.

About a minute after, I heard a train whistle from the distance. I stood up and looked over the crowd into the distant track. Sure enough, the train was almost here. I jogged up behind the suitcase infested group as the train made a stop. It's steam filled the bottom of the deck. The doors automatically opened and passengers started getting off and boarding. Across the way there was a couple kissing and a family reuniting and other people just making their way out.

I was in the middle of it, searching everywhere for Sunburst, but I didn't see him. More and more people left until it was completely cleared out. I didn't know where he was. For a second I was devastated until a familiar voice came up behind me.

"Starlight?"

I turned around. Sunburst was standing there behind me. He had the same messed up orange hair and dumb round glasses.

"Sunburst!" I said excitedly.

I hugged him and he hugged me back.

"Geez, was I gone that long?" he asked with a smile as we pulled away.

"Yeah it's not like I haven't seen you in almost a year," I said sarcastically.

"Okay, maybe I have been gone for longer than expected," he said.

"Whatever you say!" I said. "At least you're here now."

Sunburst only had a small suitcase that could be carried by a handle. Drastic change from the first time he visited. I never want to relive that period again.

I don't know why I was so scared to see him again. He's still the same Sunburst. Even wearing the same white dress shirt he claimed to have multiple of and that stupid wizard's robe. I still don't know the backstory behind it but I never cared to ask. But, tones of people wore robes. Especially witches and/or wizards who's mark is magic.

Walking through Ponyville, Sunburst often asked about things that had changed even though nothing really did. I told him about how the school was closed and about the whole situation with Maud and Briar and how Pinkie Pie never shut up about any of it. He told me about the Crystal Empire and the kids who are scared of him which was hilarious to watch him talk about.

Eventually, we got to the castle. We opened the doors and walked in. Sunburst looked around.

"Wow, nothing has changed. It's still just as big and empty since the last time I was here," he said.

I closed the doors behind us.

"We at least added a coat hanger," I said, pointing my thumb over to it behind me.

We both laughed at ourselves.

"Is Twilight here?" he asked.

"No," I said. "She's out with her friends at the tree. I don't know when they'll be back."

"Eh, means more time that you don't have to hear Twilight and I fantasize over antiques," he joked.

I laughed nervously. I needed to take these precious moments in. I can't stand the antiques!

"Usually they stay out all night. No need to worry, they have literally defeated way more terrifying things than a tree before."

Trust me when I say this... I should have worried.
