Starlight's POV-

Through my window, the morning sun rained in. It was a sunny morning, unlike the past couple of days had been. It wasn't going to be cold.

The sun being quite bright was enough to wake me up. I opened my eyes hesitantly, not feeling the greatest to get out of bed.

I turned over on my back and put my hands over my eyes.

"Ugh..." I groaned.

I slapped my arms back down on the bed and looked up at the ceiling.

"Guess I'm up now."

I sat up and sat at the edge of the bed. My left tank top strap fell off my shoulder and one of my pant legs were rolled up to my ankle.

Understanding that I was a mess, I stood, and walked over to my closet and shut door with me in it.

I moved over some clothes on the hangers and eventually picked out the same skinny jeans and pastel purple elbow length sweater that I wore every day.

I came out in the clothes I had picked out and made my way out my room and to the bathroom across the hallway. I did the usual, do hair, brush teeth, wash face, etc.

After I came out I went to the kitchen which was a couple hallways down and continued to make coffee using the brewer.

This was my everyday routine. For weekends, at least. I'd sometimes wake up late and have to hurry up to get ready and make it to the school on time.

I just stood there for a minute, leaning against the counter and feeling the nice caffeine go through my body. But after awhile, Spike came in.

"Oh, good morning, Starlight," Spike said, making his way to beside the fridge.

"Morning, Spike," I greeted. "What're you up to?"

Spike pulled out a step stool and put it in front of the counter. He stepped up on it and opened the cabinet.

"Twilight called everyone over to discuss the whole Tree of Harmony incident going on," he said, grabbing a vase out the cabinet.

The vase had some ancient art on it. Looked pretty confusing to me.

"And Twilight needs this for some kind of history demonstration that'll do nothing for the situation."

He closed the cabinet and put the stool back behind the fridge.

"By the way, you got a package this morning but I didn't get the chance to bring it to you, it's sitting by the door." Spike said before he left.

"Thanks!" I called out to him. "No problem!" I heard him say from a distance.

With my coffee mug in hand, I started out to the front door.

The door into and out the castle was the biggest, and most detailed one. Very beautiful to look at but got normal after you seeing it everyday.

Just as Spike said, there was a cardboard package sitting beside the door, on the floor. I went over and picked it up with my open hand, careful not to spill my drink. Looking at the label, it said from the Crystal Empire to Starlight Glimmer in Ponyville, Equestria. I knew exactly who this was from and had a hint on what it was. I excitedly took it into my room.

I set my coffee on the nightstand and put the package on my bed. I took some scissors from my desk and used them to cut the tape.

Finally the tape was cut. I put down the scissors and dug through the box, moving out the foam peanuts as I went. Underneath it all was a book titled: "The Mystical Equestrian Herbs."
