Drop to your knee and beg for Mercy. For a peaceful night. For a day with no hurt. But then realize, you're looked down upon. Everyone sees that the day you open your mouth, rain falls and Hell rises. Storm clouds form and SCREAM the names of all who were once Happy. You laugh as you tell the tale of the broken man, but then cry once you see not your ignorance, but your dreams unfold in his footsteps. Understand this. No one pities the Prideful, and No one loves the Selfish. They just desire what kills them. They're almost desperate to hear a silver tongue. Look around... They crave the half truths and sugar-coated lies. They obey the songs with not - so - hidden meanings. So now, you'll tell to the world, "Save the Trees", but whisper, "Kill the children". You'll smile and say, "Let us be Friends", but shake your head and think, "Let it be War". They'll drop to their knees and beg for mercy. For the peaceful nights once again. For the hurting to end, for the sake of all that's good. Because they've finally understand... You were looked down upon, and unhappy. They've finally realized, all you needed was a helping hand. It's a shame they only noticed when the clock struck twelve, and the time for compensation has taken its turn.
