Damien starts the bike as I put my things into the saddle bag and get my helmet on. We ride the winding roads up the mountain until we reached the lake just after the sun had set. We sat on the old picnic table and watched as the sky filled with stars and the full moon rose in the sky...while we talked I realized that the moon was turning blood red as it began to Crest I felt the bones in my body begin to crack one at a time. I screamed in pain baring my teeth as I yelled at damien "Leave me, I have to change and it's not safe for anyone to be around me!" He refused!I was terrified that I may tried to hurt him. It's hard to control who you attack once your wolf has taken over.. there has only been one time that i attacked someone and it was the most awful moment of my life!
Once the transformation was complete selene had full control. She didn't attack damien but she actually strolled right up to him like she belonged by his side.
Damien- hello Selene, Addie has told me all about you. How about we go on a hunt together?
Selene tilted her head looking confused she had no will to hunt humans....as if he heard our thoughts he laughs and says " I don't mean humans, i hunt animals for blood."
"Let's go!"damien said as he took off into the woods....we could smell humans so we changed our direction to follow smaller prey. It was amazing running through the trees hunting together. After a few hours I started to shift back into my human form.. as this happened I began to panic .....I had NO CLOTHES!
Damien noticed me stop and ran to my side taking my jacket from a bag he had been carrying! He draped it over my body and helped me to my feet giving me his sweat pants and t shirt which were in the bag as well.
"Damien! How did you?"
"I have been keeping track of the full moon so that we could be together when you shifted again, as well as making sure I kept clothes on hand for just the occasion!"
"I want you to know I am falling for you, and I want to know every part of you whether it be good or bad! If we are going to be together I look at it like this.... if I want to love you at your best, I must still love you when you're at your worst!"
As those words left his lips I couldn't hold back I leapt into his arms and kissed him as deeply as I could leaving us both breathless. We suddenly heard a noise in the shadows. As we scanned and sniffed our surroundings an arrow flew towards us and damien caught it in mid air!
As we chased after the unknown Assailant he yelled back to us "a werewolf and a vampire together is an abomination! If you stay together we will hunt you and any family you create!"
This made us stop in our tracks and stare at each other in complete shock.
"We haven't even made us official yet!? " damien said staring into my eyes.
"He must have been watching us for weeks to know all of that!" I said aloud.
It appears this will be very complicated and dangerous but we both agree that it is worth it!
