Chapter 5: More problems

We lost track of our Assailant as dawn approached. "We have to get back to the bike, we both need to shower and get ready for school" damien said with a stressed expression.
"Damien , I'm so sorry...this is my fault! If I had just kept my distance when you came here we wouldn't be getting threats that extend into any future we may want. If that is how a stranger reacts to our unusual predicament what will happened when our friends and family discover that we have become close and are Mates?"
"Noone could have kept me from meeting you! You are not the cause of this...both of our kind have the gift of knowing the person we will love for all time the moment we meet them! It is in our nature to be drawn to that person until we create a life with them. It doesn't matter to me that we are an oddity. I want to be with you and although it could be dangerous ... as long as we are together we can protect each other and maybe create a future where vampire and werewolf aren't sworn enemies but are able to live side by side." He said with a smile that could bring the world to its knees.
"When should we tell people besides our parents?" I asked with a sideways grin.
"Well! I do believe that we should meet with our parents and each others parents before we announce anything. They can help us seeing as they were told by the covens of our Mate bond." He said guiding me back towards the bike with his hand gently caressing the small of my back.

Once we got back to the bike he spun me to face him and slid his hands down to my thighs gripping them tightly. My breath hitched in my throat as warmth radiated through every inch of my body causing hair to stand on end. He lifted me up in his arms , I could feel every muscle move. Holding me close to his body he brushed the raven hair away from my piercing jade eyes and began kissing down the side of my neck lightly biting and teasing. When he stopped I was disappointed but he whispered in my ear " when we make this official and finally mate , marking each other; I'm going to make every moment slow and even more enjoyable than the last! That is a promise " he pulled back looking into my eyes and gave me the sexiest wink I have ever seen. Then he gently placed my feet back on the ground . I was so wet , still shaking from his touch he had to hold me up for a second which I am positive inflated his ego quite a bit!

We continued up the mountain to my house. Once we arrived the sun was beginning to peak through the trees and we had a couple of hours before school. I gave damien a small kiss and told him I would meet him at school later.

The day flew by in a flurry of boring routine school work until I went to my locker at lunch. Inside the was a note from a wolf(I could smell it..but I couldn't remember why it was such a familiar wolf):The note read "I heard your mate is a bloodsucker! If he comes near pack grounds again I will kill him. No wolf is meant to be with one of them. Reject him or your life and his will become torturous quickly!" I stood shocked for a moment and then I was suddenly filled with nothing but anger!

My rage filled me and was quickly taking over. My vision began to blur and I started to follow the scent that was on the note. As I turned the corner to leave the building damien grabbed me jolting out of my murderous state of anger.

"Addie! Addie!....what's going on?? All I could feel was anger, i wanted to kill someone. It was so strong it took me a moment to realize it was you feeling it and not me!"

He looked at me like he wanted to whisk me away keeping me in his arms forever.

I took a few calming breaths and handed him the note.

In an instant damien's ocean blue eyes turned red and gold ,his fangs popped out and i shoved him backwards into the janitorial closet!

"I'm going to fucking murder all of the useless fear mongers! Why should our people forever be at odds!?!?!? We deserve to find peace and happiness. ALL OF US!!!NO MATTER WHO OUR MATE IS!"
