Chapter 10: The rescue pt.2

Landon POV:

I began the assault on the front gates side by side with my friends and family. We were greeted by panic . Noone expected they would be found ! I forced myself to shift in mid air and sank my teeth into the first enemy I smelled ....the wet noise and horrid crunch of the flesh as I ripped his head from his body echoed like an alarm through the building. All around the were screams of pain and battle cries as we fought without mercy for a better future. Warm blood dripping from my muzzle the smell of copper and iron in the air .....knowing that our alphas mate and future king was in the building somewhere only fuled my rage!!! No one is taking the chance at peace away from my family , my pack or my friends. We tore through the vampires out front quickly but the wovels awaited for us just beyond the doors.

Addies POV:

We entered the catacombs unnoticed! We made our way through them swiftly and silently taking down any guard in our way. At the door of what looked to be a cell was a female wolf....she saw me and took a fighting stance. "Continue on to the main fight I'll get him free once I kill this vermin!" I ordered through gritted teeth.

With that said she charged me ranting in some foreign language. She went straight for my legs trying to sweep them from under me. I leapt over her flipping in mid air landing directly behind her. She jumped away from me in shock as I growled she slowly began to cower. But then she tried again !i I waited for her to reach me not flinching and once she was close enough I shoved my hand deep into her chest cracking bone and tearing muscle with the sheer force ...my anger consuming me I ripped her heart from her chest!

I could feel the blood thick and sticky between my fingers, the heart still beating for a few moments in my hand. The power I felt was mind numbing!

I quickly snapped out of my trance and went to the cell door ....my heart was pounding so hard i thought it would burst! "DAMIEN!! Thank God you're alive. I love you we have to fight our way out ...we have to go now! I know you're weak so you have to feed from me quickly. " He shook his head no but I shoved my bleeding wrist into his mouth and held him there till he drank!

He sprang to his feet fully healed and full of energy. When we arrived at the front there had been many casualties on both sides but the odds were in our favor still. Entering the fight we came face to face with TY! He was barely touched at all in the fight Damien and I waited for him to make his move .. and when he did he decided to go for damien thinking me too weak or afraid(I could hear his thoughts little did he know).

His biggest mistake is that he underestimated me! The two men rolled around biting, clawing, punching and kicking so fast that a human would just see a blur. Ty had a weapon laced with vervaine and when he started to lose he pulled it out .....I charged into the fight with a knife laced with wolfsbane. I plunged the dagger deep into TYs heart ...the dagger was so sharp it slid into his body and though the bone like a hot knife through butter! The fighting stopped when he yelped in pain and all eyes fell on Damien and I....the silence was deafening. I looked into Ty's dark brown eyes and said " It's time you listened to an alpha for once! You're not in charge here ! Your morals are weak as wlle as your mind and your body! The world is changing and it begins NOW!" as I emphasized the final word I twisted the knife and ripped his head from his shoulders!

I turned with blood dripping down my body and stood facing the others. " Does anyone wish to challenge me for the position of alpha? If so NOW  is your chance!"

Every wolf bowed and said but one things " YOU ARE MY ALPHA!"
