Chapter 9: The Rescue pt. 1

Damien POV:

I woke in a dungeon...well probably an old ass basement since this isn't the middle ages! It would be dark for a human but I can see just fine...its so cold and damp the air is thick with the smell of mildew and stagnant water. I sprang to my feet ...my wounds were healing more slowly than normal and they burned...the weapons must have been laced with vervaine.
I have no idea where I am or how long I have been out. My mind races with thought of Addie and if she is safe.

Suddenly the door bursts open and I am met by a face that is all too familiar. It is my old "friend " TY !
Tan skin , dark brown hair and a cocky confidence which I despise!
Behind him is a band of rag tag vampires from all over the world Ty clears his throat "glad to see you again Friend "he sneers. "I hate to have interrupted the party but there is no world where our bloodlines can be allowed to merge. This blood moon thing is crazy though. I can have all the benefits of my wolf without the pain of transformation! Tonight once the moon hits its Apex I will be killing you to keep our line pure!" He walked out without another word. As the door slammed behind him I heard Addie's mind link calling out to me.

I tried to reach out to her but the connection was broken already!we weren't full mates yet so it would come and go randomly. "Fuck!?!?! Why didnt we mate already if we bore one anothers mark I could warn her!" I screamed in my head so as not alert the army outside my cell.

My heart wrenched in my chest hearing her say she was coming to get me. ..."I have to get out of here she can't take them all alone! She will die!"

Addies POV:

I headed back to the site of the attack with and army of vampires and werewolves alike at my side ready to fight for a new and better world.

When I arrived I could smell damien's everywhere! There was a trail for a while ...I knew he had been seriously injured and I could smell the vervaine! "PIECE OF SHIT!"I growled .
One of the werewolves caught the scent i had smelled before...it was the same scent on the note in my locker! Landon ran to me ...."Addie that scent it's Ty's he has been missing since damien came to town. He was pissed they were allowed to stay?"

"ONE OF MY OWN FUCKING PACK " the growl that came from me echoed so loudly everyone bowed to me......they knew I was to be the alpha in that moment. In an instant we were gone heading towards the cliffside along the river miles away. There were ruins of an old castle a fortress that used to rival all others. Tunnels lead inside from only one place.....the water. Why have a full frontal assault when we can distract from one side and flank them . So I sent out the order ..half of the guys went for the front while the rest of us used the river to mask our scents as we climbed from the ocean up to the catacombs that could lead us to potential victory!
